AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 14 – Crushed Curry

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 14: Crushed Curry

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that feature Crushed Curry including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Regals Designer Series Paper pack, Regals Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 and the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots.

But my favourite product to feature the colour Crushed Curry is……

I originally overlooked this paper in the catalogue because Big Cats are not my thing but when it arrived in a recent order I was blown away at just how lovely it actually is. If like me you are not really into cats the B-Sides are absolutely gorgeous. They are seriously some of the nicest papers in the catalogue and the colour palette is beautiful.

My card:

When all else fails and I am short on inspiration I return to tried and trusted designs. As I said, I had recently purchased the In the Wild DSP and fell in love with this particular paper. Looking at this paper I immediately thought of the Christmas Season bundle and the In the Tropics dies. I started with a wreath and then created a little cluster using greenery similar to that in the paper.

The sentiment is from Nature’s Harvest and I cut it out using a label die from the Christmas Season bundle.

I would never have thought to create a wreath to coordinate with these papers, but how amazing does it look?!!! I love your little group of embellishments on the side too.

  5. Rosa Leyden

What a lovely card you have put together Michele from the colourful background DSP matched to the wreath and additional greenery. Lovely card!

I love your gorgeous crushed curry wreath. It’s not something I would think to do with the colour but it looks great. I love you have finished the card off with the leaf bundle on the side.

A Crushed Curry wreath … in true Michele style, you have made it work, and look beautiful! The Autumnal colours, and cluster of foliage, look lovely. Great way to show off this colour. 🙂
