AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 8 – Cajun Craze

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 8: Cajun Craze

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that feature Cajun Craze including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Stampin’ Blends, Regals Designer Series Paper pack, Regals Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 and the In the Wild DSP.

But my favourite products to feature the colour Cajun Craze are……

……and I used one of the gorgeous papers from the Beauty of the Earth DSP when creating my card for tonight’s blog hop. I love Cajun Craze and it is a colour that I use quite often. I particularly like it when paired with the new green In Colors – Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.

My card:

This card also features one of my all time favourite stamp sets and coordinating stitched dies.

This close up photo shows the gorgeous stitched details on the leaves. So pretty!!!

The sentiments in this stamp set are lovely and can be used when a family member or friend needs reminding just how important they are to you. The image stamps are Distinktive™ which means that they stamp with light and shade in the one stamping. So clever!

designer series paper sale:

And what better time to stock up on designer series paper? There are nine gorgeous sets of paper for sale during July including the three (mentioned above) that have Cajun Craze as part of their colour palette.

Such a beautiful card Michele and so elegant. Leaves go well with Cajun Craze.

  3. Diane Furniss

Lovely card Michele, I love these leaves and your card really show it off beautifully.

  4. Caroline Manwaring

The lovely background DSP pattern compliments your gorgeous single leaf design, Michele. I love the white space around the leaf and the linen thread bow. Cajun Craze really shines on this card.

  5. Kate Morgan

Lovely Michele, how fabulous does that leaf look with the DSP?!! Gorgeous. I really struggle with autumnal colours but this looks amazing, especially with the sprinkling of sequins!

  6. Claire Daly

The simple elegance of your card really stand out Michele. Great choices of product for this challenge.

  7. Rosa Leyden

Your card is so elegant Michele and the die cut leaf in Cajun Craze pairs perfectly with the lovely DSP.

  8. Tina Gillespie

Such a lovely card! The way you’ve inset the Cajun Craze leaf into the white surrounds is gorgeous, and that bow!!

  9. Catherine Proctor

Wow Michele, your card makes it look like that DSP and die are part of the same suite – they work so well together on your beautiful card.

  10. CHRISTINE BLAIN

There are two things on this card, that I struggle with, that you have used so beautifully, Michele – Cajun Craze, and that particular patterned paper. The leafy paper looks awesome as a fairly narrow border, with a large white focal panel on top. The inlaid die cut leaf is a beauty. You have made a really eye-catching card; beautiful!
