Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024-2025. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We began the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2024-2026 In Colors before showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order. So let me continue on with my introduction of the 2024-2026 In Colors. Week 5 we are exploring the final new In Color……
Week 5: Summer Splash
The colour Summer Splash is a blue green that fits somewhere in between Pool Party and Coastal Cabana. I really like this pretty shade and will be using it for water, summer and seaside themed cards. It also works well with the darker blue green colours in the range – Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock.
While introducing the new In Colors I have been using just the Layers of Beauty bundle. Here are the five cards that I created when showcasing the 2024 – 2026 In Colors. You can see the other cards by navigating back through my previous blog posts.
The Layers of Beauty bundle is beautiful and exceptionally versatile and I certainly enjoyed using it when creating my cards.
This week’s card:
This week I stamped, coloured and diecut the entire large image. I also diecut additional copies and layered them one on top of the other to create some dimension, before adhering it to a white panel.
This lovely birthday greeting is from the Simply Said stamp set. It was stamped directly onto the white cardstock panel. I like the way it nestles into the large floral bouquet. As a finishing touch I added some shimmer gems and a very fine Pretty In Pink matt before adding it to a Summer Splash card base.
Additional cards:
As Summer Splash is the last of the 2024-2026 In Colors that we are celebrating I decided to create two additional cards. Using the small floral spray from the Layers of Beauty bundle I created a wreath. I haven’t created a wreath card in ages and really enjoyed creating this one.
I used the same greeting and thin Pretty In Pink matt as my main card. The background is from the 2024- 2026 In Color designer series paper pack. I love the designs in this pack as they are just so pretty and usable. This was all adhered to a Basic White card base. A white twine double bow and my favourite shimmer gems completed my square card.
My second additional card incorporates elements from one of the Mix & Match ephemera packs and the gorgeous Eyelet embossing folder.
I love embossing folders as I believe they represent the best value for your crafty dollar. Not only do they add so much texture and elegance to any card or project, they can be used over and over again.
The larger circle is from the Spotlight On Nature set of dies. The 12 dies in this set have a range of different edge details and I think they will quickly become a staple in my crafty stash.

So many gorgeous cards. You showcased Summer Splash wonderfully.
Fab cards, Michele. I love Pretty In Pink with Summer Splash on your rose card, just delightful! The wreath is super sweet and I really need to learn how to do it!
Three beautiful, and very different, cards Michele … you’ve showcased Summer Splash beautifully. I am a huge fan of Layers of Beauty, and love seeing what you create with it. I like how you stacked a few diecuts to elevate the main image on your first card. Summer Splash and Pretty in Pink look lovely together. Your wreath card is gorgeous (of course – they all are!). I, too, love the patterns on the DSP in the colour families this year. I really like how you left some of the flowers white on this card. Finally, the Eyelet 3D embossed background, in Summer Splash, really packs a punch! Beautifully composed card.
Your cards are so beautiful! You’ve certainly showcased the Layers of Beauty so well with each of your cards and Iam loving this week’s card too! Your other cards are amazing!
Wow, three gorgeous cards Michele. Each one is wonderful. I love your colour combo for the masked flowers and the dimension from the die cut layers. The Shimmer Gems are currently my fave as well. You are the Queen of stamping in the round and your second card is delightful. The embossed background of your third card with the Spotlight on Nature layered circles and the Ephemera Packs flower is simply gorgeous as well. Love them all. xxx
All beautiful cards, Michele, however, my absolute favourite is the wreath card, it is stunning. That Eyelet 3D TIEF is going to be popular and lovely colouring of your Layers of beauty card.
Oh I do love your wreath cards Michele and this one is no exception. You’ve done a fabulous job over the past 5 weeks showcasing how versatile the Layers of Beauty really is.
Oh wow, your cards are all so pretty. I must admit to absolutely loving your wreath card the most – classic Michele, and totally gorgeous!
Michele I love your set of cards showcasing different techniques such as embossing and the use of ephemera pieces. Your circle wreath is so prettily coloured and the Layers of Beauty card has gorgeous colours too.
Oh Michele, all three of your cards are lovely tonight but it’s especially delightful to see another of your wreath card designs! I lover your colouring on card one and the way you’ve added dimension with the embossing folder on card three.
