AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Garden Green

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week 17: Garden Green

Garden Green is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Regals collection…….and is a medium green. There are several Garden Green products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Regals Assortment.

As well as the products listed above Garden Green can be found featured in several designer series paper packs. The Forever Greenery DSP is just one of the many gorgeous products in the Forever Greenery Suite, which can be found on pages 108 to 110 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. The papers feature 6 shades of green and also have coordinating dies the cut several of the images from the paper, as well as, images from Forever Fern stamp set. It really is a lovely suite of products.

Garden Green is also the perfect Christmas green and it therefore features in three of the Designer Series Papers that can be found in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue. As you can see in the graphic below, Garden Green works well with both Cherry Cobbler and Real Red for that very traditional Christmas colour palette.

my card:

My card features the monochromatic stripe paper from Forever Greenery and my newly acquired stamp set, Happiest of Birthdays. I was a bit undecided in regards to this set for a while as I have a large number of birthday stamps but, I was eventually drawn to the largest sentiment.

This large sentiment lends itself to a number of techniques, including the one that I used for my card. Using my Stamparatus I initially stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam. Next, using a sponge dauber, I carefully applied the darker Pretty Peacock over the selected areas of the stamp to create the gradient effect. This is such a fun and easy technique. I must admit to getting a bit carried away and creating quite a few different coloured panels, that I will use on additional cards in the future. I tucked a couple of stamped images and a few diecut elements behind the top corner for additional interest and texture and my card was finished.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and/or the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
