AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Magenta Madness

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week 23: Magenta Madness

Magenta Madness is one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors…….and is a bright almost fluoro pink. There are several Magenta Madness products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, Stampin’ Blends and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper 2020-2022 In Color Assortment.

Magenta Madness features in two Designer Series Papers and the gorgeous Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

Other In Color products such as this packet of enamel dots also include Magenta Madness. These are a must have product in your crafting stash, as they add the perfect finishing touch to your cards.

My cards this week have a very merry and BRIGHT theme. My colour palette is Magenta Madness and Whisper White with a little Sahara Sand and gold used as the ‘neutral’.

Card no.: 1

Card one uses the Coming Home bundle. I love these little stylised trees which I diecut from designer series paper. The snowy hills were diecut using two other dies from the Home Together die set. I also used the Subtle embossing folder to add some texture to the snow capped hills in the background. The sentiment is from Joyful Holly and is perfect for my bright cheery festive card, as are the gilded gems, which were added as a finishing touch.

Card no.: 2

My second card showcases the Peace & Joy bundle which I paired with the Playful Alphabet. I again used the gilded gems which I added to the centre of each of my starbursts. To be honest I wasn’t overly keen on the gilded gems when they arrived in an order quite some time ago. Some time over the ensuing months I must have changed my mind because I have just ordered my third packet. 🙂

card no.: 3

Card three uses bits and pieces from a range of products. I have only recently received the Wishes & Wonder bundle and I cannot understand what took me so long to decide that I needed it. I am obsessed with this diecut dear. It is gorgeous!!!

You may have spied a new designer series paper on this card. This lovely pack is called Classic Christmas and is available to purchase NOW as part of the Curvy Celebrations exclusive and early release promotion. This gorgeous paper is only available from 3 November 2020 to 4 January 2021.

Michele, I love all of your cards. Your non-traditional colour scheme for Christmas is delightful. I have been trying to resist the Coming Home and the Wishes and Wonder bundles – you are making it so hard. Such inspiration. xxx

Wow! Your cards are beautiful, Michele! I’m generally not a fan of using pink on Christmas cards, but this beautiful bright pink works so well – really eye-catching. The first card’s my favourite – the trees are awesome, and I love the split panel on the Stitched Nested Label die-cut. I also love the layout and composition of your third card (although, just quietly, don’t love that deer as you do, LOL). Great work with this striking colour.

  9. Rachel Woollard

Lovely bright Christmas cards Michele, just what we need this year!
