Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase for the month of March. This month the members of the team were challenged to create cards using a sketch for inspiration.
my card:
My card today features products from Butterfly Bouquet, an exclusive and early-release, available for purchase 2 March until 3 May 2021. Please note that the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and coordinating dies Brilliant Wings will return in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, however, the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper and Natural Touch specialty paper are limited release items and are available only while stocks last or until 3 May.
I also used these gorgeous products when making my card for last month’s creative showcase, which you can see here. Oh, and I also used them for Week 37 (Pretty Peacock) of the AWHT Colour Creations Showcase, shown here. Guess I must really like them. 😉 Just goes to show that there is no such thing as too many butterflies. 🙂
I endeavoured to stay true to the sketch. My butterflies became the ink dots and the beautiful gold linen ribbon from the Fine Art Gallery suite and Natural Touch specialty paper replaced the sentiment strip.
I tucked my very small sentiment under one of the butterfly wings. It is from the Many Messages bundle. A definite MUST HAVE!!! Like the Butterfly Brilliance bundle it consists of one large stamp and a large coordinating die that cuts out all the different sentiments in one pass of the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss. I keep all the sentiments in a little divided box that I purchased from Spotlight. It is then an easy task to quickly select the perfect greeting for my card.
My background was embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder. I usually just grab the Subtle 3D embossing folder, but for this card I challenged myself to use something different……and now I can’t help but wonder why I don’t use it more often. 🙂

Oh wow, this is so pretty Michelle! Love those colours and the texture. Your little cluster of butterflies and the metallic thread is perfect.
Gorgeous Michele, those butterflies are beautiful and yes, the Dainty Diamonds EF goes perfectly with them. Love the bright colours you have selected.
Oh, this is so pretty!! The butterflies are gorgeous, and I love the background DSP that you’ve chosen. I think that the Dainty Diamonds EF was the perfect choice for this card.
Michelle this is such a great interpretation of the sketch. I love the butterflies for the ink dots and strip of DSP and ribbon for the sentiment – you’ve showcased so many products but in a clean and classic card.
