For my entry I choose to use a piece of Under the Mistletoe designer series paper, the Winter Woods Stamp Set and the In the Woods Framelits Dies. I must admit that the Winter Woods Bundle did not initially ‘grab’ me, but once I started playing with it, I could see just so many possibilities. I particularly love the dimension of the very traditional Christmas tree and the gorgeous little pinecones.
I used a piece of designer series paper to completely cover the front of my Whisper White card. I then matted my Whisper White panel with a piece of Real Red cardstock before attaching it to the card front. I used both Old Olive and Shaded Spruce when stamping my tree. Using the Stamparatus makes adding several colours to an image so easy. Firstly, I used Old Olive to stamp the trees. I then cleaned my stamp before using an ink dauber to ‘pounce’ some Shaded Spruce along the edges and sparingly across the centre of the stamp. I stamped the image again and the result is some lovely light and shade. I also stamped two of the small pine branches and a pinecone. I used the coordinating dies to cut out all the stamped images before adhering them to my card. The greeting is from the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set and the small tag was diecut using the Christmas Tags Thinlits Die. Some gold thread and red rhinestones add that little bit of sparkle, and the card is complete.
