Welcome to the 2022 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will again be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.
my cards:
Every year I like to make my Mum and MIL a fancy fold Christmas card. Both of them have kept every card I have given them, in fact, my MIL still has last year’s Christmas card and her birthday card from early June, still out on display in her kitchen.
So, as long as you can keep a secret, here are the cards I have created for them this Christmas. 🙂
Both cards use the absolutely beautiful Lights Aglow designer series paper.
Card no.1:
I don’t really know what this fancy fold is called.
The insert is cut shorter in width so that it creates a lovely window effect.
My card uses dies that sadly are no longer available, however, any Christmas tree and label die would work. You could also cut an oval or circle to frame your tree, depending on its size.
The two layers of cardstock make the card quite thick so I made a belly band as a closure.
card no.2:
My second card is a pop out/up box card. I make variations of this card often. You can see last year’s Christmas version HERE.
I did glue a piece of window sheet to the inside of the box so that I had somewhere to attach my foliage and greeting.
I used three different pieces of the DSP to create this card. Not only are they beautiful……they coordinate beautifully.
I adhered a panel to the back of the card on which to write my message.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by this week. I hope to see you back here next Monday, when the team will have more of their inspiration and wonderful creations to share with you.
In the meantime if you would like a copy of either the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and/or the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

WOW, was the first word that popped into my head on seeing your cards Michele. They are both so striking and what a lovely story about your mum and mum-in-law keeping every card you’ve made for them. How heart warming is that. Special cards indeed.
Great fancy fold designs, Michele. I love how you cut the trees from the SDSP and the basket in gold foil, really shows the impression beautifully. Your mum & MIL will love these and display them proudly until the next Christmas!
Two gorgeous fun fold cards Michele. Both your mother and MIL are sure to love their Christmas cards. Great folds that look so good with the delightful Lights Aglow SDSP xxx
Those are some beautiful, special, cards Michele. I love this DSP too (who doesn’t?!) … and you showcase it to perfection with these fancy folds. Really lovely.
Michele, I can see why your mum and MIL treasure your cards – they are simply gorgeous! I love the way you have framed the trees on both cards.
Your cards are both so beautiful. I love the dimension you’ve created using the windows. I’m sure that these cards will be treasured as much as the ones before them.
