Week 16: Flirty Flamingo
Flirty Flamingo is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Brights collection…….and is a bright, clear, medium pink. There are several Flirty Flamingo products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Brights Assortment.
The very cute Playful Pets Designer Series Paper also includes Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and several neutrals in its colour palette and is a must have for those people who have dogs and cats in their lives.

I am not a fan of the colour pink so any colour challenge that showcases pink is always just that……a challenge and I really struggled with this one until I found the small, super shiny Flirty Flamingo shell sequins in the Whale of a Time sequins pack.
I did enjoy creating this card but it doesn’t look anything like I had intended. In fact there were a couple of happy mishaps that meant the design changed dramatically along the way.
I used the Whale Done bundle and the gorgeous Seabed 3D embossing folder to create my card. When embossing the Whisper White feature panel I left a band of un-embossed cardstock so that I could sponge it with Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party before stamping over it with the small school fish. The greeting is also from the Whale Done bundle.
The seaweed and anchor come from the Smooth Sailing set of dies and work brilliantly with all the different elements from the Whale of a Time Suite.

A great card Michele. I love the texture from the Seabed embossing folder and those little shell sequins are so cute! And I love how you have incorporated the die sets. I totally forgot about the seaweed die in the Smooth Sailing set.

Those whale bundle products come up so well in this colour scheme. Love the blue with the flirty flamingo – tones down that PINK doesn’t it. Gorgeous card.
