AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 22 – Highland Heather

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 22: Highland Heather

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue that feature Highland Heather including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Stampin’ Blends, Subtles Designer Series Paper pack, Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers, Grosgrain Ribbon, Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate, Pastel Pearls and Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.

But my favourite product to feature the colour Highland Heather is……

This fabulous Memories & More card pack is perfect for both the card maker and scrapbooker. There are matching envelopes too, which are also gorgeous and perfect when sending your beautiful handmade card.

My card:

I love the way this mask from the Plenty of Patterns set of decorative masks matches the large floral and leaves from the In Symmetry stamp set. After creating the background using Highland Heather ink and a blending brush, I stamped and diecut the large floral and matted it with a scalloped circle of Highland Heather.

I decided that I needed another layer so I pulled out my trusty Tailor Made Tags dies and once diecut, embossed the tag using the Timeworn Type embossing folder. This was the first time I have used this embossing folder as it arrived in a recent order. It is really lovely and I know that it is about to become a favourite. I added small white pearls to the flower and used Gorgeous Grape pearls on the card. The greeting and ribbon are also Gorgeous Grape.

Channelling my inner Tina Gillespie I stamped the inside and envelope to match. I have begun doing this more often as it really does add a lovely touch to your handmade card.
