my card:
Well this is a little unexpected. I had been planning my card in my head for days. With purpose I sat down at my craft table, chosen supplies in hand and started to nut out the card. Along the way……
something happened and it is fair to say that this finished card looks absolutely nothing like the card I had in my head. I have often described myself as a spontaneous card maker. And this card illustrates that perfectly.
I did intend to use this lovely die, but not in this way. The rest of the bits and pieces that I did use were actually lying around on my table top in my different ‘scrap’ bins. It is not even the colour of card base that I had chosen.
However, for some reason I love this card. It is a hotchpotch of colours but hopefully it just works. I am LOVING the Christmas Pinecones dies. I have now cut it out in all the greens and just have it sitting in a ‘scrap’ bin ready to pop behind sentiments or into sprays of floral images. It is the perfect added embellishment.

Well for a spontaneous creation, this is absolutely gorgeous! Mind you I think I am much the same. I really love how you have layered bits and pieces between the greeting and the Encircled in Beauty Die Cut. Love it!
It may not have been the card you planned, but it’s a gorgeous card nonetheless. The layering is fabulous, and the colours work perfectly.
Michele, I am exactly the same type of crafter as you and it is an exciting, if somewhat chaotic, way to craft! The colours on your card all come together beautifully and I love the strip of DSP down the middle of your card.
I love that this card evolved into something completely different to what you’d imagined, and that it works so beautifully! The pops of red, provided by the rhinestones, are striking, as is the contrast between rustic and elegant elements on your card, Michele. Beautiful job.
The pine cones and greenery behind the sentiment add another dimension to your card Michele. The red rhinestone berries are so pretty too.

How often does that happen, Michele?!! I think we all have those moments of an idea in our head and the end result is nothing like it!! Your card is delightful. I love the Soft Suede card base with the strip of DSP and that pretty gold medallion with all the lovey embellishments.
Well I can see why you love this card, it may not have been what was in your head but it is really lovely. I am starting to think I need these dies. A Gorgeous card Michelle I really like it!
