Happy New Year to you all! Christmas and New Year seem to come and go so quickly. I spent the day yesterday packing away the Christmas decorations and so now it is time to get back to some crafting.
This week the colour theme for the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop is Mint Macaron. Mint Macaron was a ‘returning’ colour during the 2018 Stampin’ Up! colour revamp. It is a very ‘subtle’ colour that seems to go so very well with lots of other colours in the Stampin’ Up! range.
Today I used it with a piece of dsp from Botanical Butterflies which is available FREE when you spend $90 during Sale-A-Bration. The papers in this series are just lovely and so very versatile as the B side is black and white. I also used the round lacy die from the Detailed Baubles set but this could so easily be substituted for a similar one in the Doily Builder set available in the new Occasions Catalogue. I misted the butterflies with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and used dimensionals to raise the centre panel. The greeting is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set which can also be found in the Occasions Catalogue.

What a lovely card, I just love butterflies and that pop of black and the shimmer paint is great!
Lovely design Michelle, I think the black doily really sets it off beautifully.
Thanks for your kind feedback Diane.
Such a lovely card Michelle. I love the boldness of the black coloured doily!
I do love the black with this lovely dsp Caroline. I am thinking that I might make a similar version using the B side of the paper and black and white butterflies only.
Beautiful card Michelle. The DSP and doiley really set each other off, but the stars of the show have to be the trio of butterflies.
Thanks so much Rachel.
Wow, this is stunning! I love the drama of the black doily. Gorgeous!
Thanks for taking the time to comment Tina.
This is such a beautiful card, Michelle. I especially love that mint macaron butterfly in the middle of the card. Thanks for hopping along tonight.
I have enjoyed the challenge of the colour creations hops Catherine. Unfortunately Mossy Meadow is not a colour I have so I will pop back in a fortnight.
Gorgeous Michele, I too love this DSP and I think it ill be super popular during Saleabration. It looks gorgeous with the pop of black!
Everything looks great with black Kate ;).
