Real Read is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Regals collection…….and is a bright, rich Christmassy red. There are several Real Red products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends, double-stitched satin ribbon and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Regals Assortment.

my card:

I only recently purchased the Sweet Strawberry bundle and now I find it hard to understand why it took me so long!!! It is such a sweet set and I heard recently that it will be making a re-appearance in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. All the more reason to buy it now as a bundle at a saving of 10%.

Strawberries are one of my favourite fruits. In fact, I love most berries. Berries mean Christmas pavlova, summer pudding, berry salad, family get-togethers and long hot summer days. It is funny how certain foods conjure up such strong memories. What are your favourite foods and what memories do they bring to mind?

it’s in the details:

When creating my card a masked off a narrow panel and using the new blending brushes applied a thin almost transparent coat of Daffodil Delight before using the leaf/flower stamp to create my background.

On a seperate piece of Basic White cardstock I stamped out some of the small flowers, which I then punched out using the coordinating punch. I adhered them with just a dot of liquid glue in the centre so that I could ‘bend’ up the petals for texture and dimension. As a final touch I added a Real Red rhinestone to the centre of each flower.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set too and is a happy sentiment perfect for friends or family members. I cut it out using one of the smaller stitched rectangle dies and adhered it to my card using dimensionals. The completed panel was then attached to a Real Red standard card base.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, and/or January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.

A very sweet card! I, too, was late to the party with this bundle, but I’m so glad that I caved. Your card is lovely – the masked panel looks amazing, and the flowers are very pretty.

A lovely card, Michele, with this beautiful stamp set. Your softly sponged and stamped panel is fabulous and love the red rhinestones. I’ve heard it may be staying over into the annual catalogue too, yay!!!

Michele your card is very sweet and reminds me of summer. I love the idea of masking when you want to add background to part of the card stock.

  5. rachel palmieri

Totally not what I expected Michele, but I do love the panel with blending to support the strawberry vines.A lovely suprise.

Michelle, your hand stamped panel is stunning – I thought it was DSP when I first saw it! It would have been very obvious to use Real Red and the strawberry stamp and punch from this bundle but I like the restrained elegance with just a touch of real red in the centre of the flowers. Thank you for sharing your Real Red project with us all tonight xx
