AWHT Heart of Christmas – July

Welcome to the 2020 edition of the Heart of Christmas showcase brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! team. This year, we will be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a monthly basis.

And…. so we find ourselves in July, with the gorgeous August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue sales period beginning on 4 August. There is just so much to like in this new mini catalogue, that I found it very difficult to choose when placing my preorder.

my cards:

Both of my cards feature the new Poinsettia Place Suite Collection. This was the first suite I have ever purchased in its entirety. I often like ‘almost’ every product in a suite, so I tend to purchase individual items, however, not with Poinsettia Place. I had to have it all!!! The Poinsettia Petals bundle is fabulous. I cannot tell you just how much I love the dies with the embossed details. They are gorgeous.!!! The Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper is stunning and the fact that it works with the dies as well, is sensational. The designer series paper is lovely and features the traditional colours of red and green mixed with a couple of surprises in Bumble Bee and Soft Suede. Several of the images can be diecut using the coordinating die. And don’t get me started on the Beaded Pearls………….

Both card are simple designs. I let the products do all the work.

After die cutting the poinsettia from the DSP I misted it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to give it a lovely shine and sparkle. I did also use the die to cut an additional two poinsettias using Crumb Cake cardstock. I glued these one on top of each other to make my own chipboard poinsettia shape. It gave the card some texture.

The Poinsettia PlaceSuite Collection is a must have (in my humble opinion) but I am sure that the other members of the team have lots of other wonderful products to share with you. Pop over to Judy May’s blog. There you will find a list of all the team members who have contributed to this month’s Heart of Christmas showcase.

If you would like a copy of the August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
