Enjoying the Warmth of the Season

December is HERE and in the lead up to Christmas I will be blogging about the Christmas cards and tags that I am making for an upcoming Christmas Market to be held at The Ascot Lot on Tuesday 18 December. If you live in Melbourne’s West why not pop down. The Ascot Lot is a fabulous venue with indoor and outdoor bars and a changing line up of Food Trucks. There is a friendly family vibe and your dog is welcome too. And by the way…… Mix and Match on Monday will return in the New Year.

I really love a diagonal plaid paper and today’s card features a gorgeous piece of designer series paper from the Festive Farmhouse collection. I love the combination of Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite. I stamped the sweet houses in Gray Granite and diecut them using one of the small stitched squares form the Stitched Shapes framelits. I matted these on scalloped squares of Cherry Cobbler before adhering them to the piece of designer series paper. The middle house also features some silver thread. I added a matt of Gray Granite before attaching it all to the Cherry Cobbler card base. The greetings in the Hearts Come Home stamp set are some of my favourites. I wrapped some more of the silver thread around the greeting banner and added a galvanised button before attaching to the card front with dimensionals.

The Hearts Come Home stamp set coordinates with the Hometown Greetings edgelits and can be found in the Annual Catalogue. If you would like to purchase any of the products that I have used when creating this card please follow the links below.
