Cherry Cobbler | Week 13 – AWHT CCBH 2022/23

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2022-2023. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We began the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2022-2024 In Colors and are now showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order.

Week 13: Cherry Cobbler

You will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that feature Cherry Cobbler.

I love this very dark red and use it often when creating Christmas cards.

My card:

My card this month is based on this sketch.

Each month I set a challenge for the ladies in my private FB group. We rotate through – Theme, Sketch, CASE, Colour, etc and this month’s challenge was to use this sketch when creating their card/s. I set up an album within our group each month and over the months we have been building a lovely library of cards to use as inspiration. At the end of the month I draw (or I should say, my husband draws out the winner) and the winner receives a gift. The number of entries each lady has in the draw correlates with the number of cards she submits. It is fun and the group are really enjoying being challenged to use their craft supplies each month.

As a prompt I also make one or two cards with the challenge in mind and this is one of mine for this month’s sketch challenge and, it features Cherry Cobbler.

Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand is one of my favourite Christmas colour combos. Sometimes I like to add a green such as Old Olive or a blue e.g. Balmy Blue, to my colour palette.

This embossing folder and greeting can be found in the Annual Catalogue and are two of my absolute favourites. Isn’t is great when you can use old and new products so seamlessly? The berries and holly leaves from the Christmas Season stamp set (last year’s mini and now carried over to the annual catalogue) match the new DSP perfectly.

I must admit that the jewels are from the retired Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels but when you have hoarded packets and packets of them, you do need to use them when you can.

It is a little hard to see in the photo but the centre panel was diecut using the new Deckled Rectangle dies. I think that I am going to be using this set of dies A LOT!!!

The Boughs of Holly designer series paper is lovely and includes lots of my favourite SU colours and I am really enjoying using it.
