Dies…to DIE for!!!

There is no doubt that my Stamparatus and Big Shot are the most used tools in my craft room. I use them all the time. In fact I can’t remember the last time I made a card where I didn’t use them. I really do love dies as I feel they add a professional touch when creating a card. Some of the recent Stampin’ Up! product releases have featured wonderful dies that work with a range of sentiments/greetings. The All Dressed Up dies are a prime example of this. Not only are there dies that diecut the stamped images, there are others that create a cute little backpack and others still, that make the diecutting of sentiments so very easy.

My card:

For my card today I stamped a panel of Whisper White cardstock with images from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set before embossing it with the Country Floral embossing folder. The stamped panel was adhered to a narrow matt of Gorgeous Grape before being attached to a Crumb Cake card base. A little ribbon and some rhinestones were also added before the diecut sentiment was attached.

This particular die works so well with many of the sentiments from the Itty Bitty stamp sets – Birthday, Christmas and Greetings. How cool is that? You can see other posts where I feature this particular die here and here.

The long thin stitched die in this set also makes the best sentiment strip too. I used it when creating this birthday card which also features the Happy Birthday stamp set (Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item) and Birthday dies (Coordination Product Release). You can read the blog post here. I have also used it on several other cards that I will be showcasing on my blog and social media in the coming weeks.
