Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2021 – Week 2

Welcome to the 2021 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.

I was so excited when my box of preordered products arrived early last week, but unfortunately the box lies unopened and unloved in the craft studio, as the last week has been madness. The temptation is killing me and I really hope to ‘get into it’ today or tomorrow. Urgh!!! Don’t you hate it when life gets in the way of crafting!!!

So the cards that I am showcasing this week use a bundle and coordinating DSP from the Annual Catalogue……

I LOVE this designer series paper!!! I love the neutral more muted take on traditional Christmas colours. I love the inclusion of Misty Moonlight and I love the imagery, particularly the ‘stick’ Christmas trees.

card no.1:

My first card it a 3D pop-up. This design is easy to make and I like that it showcases some of the gorgeous DSP.

The greeting can be written on a panel on the back of the card and when folded the card fits inside a standard C6 envelope.

card no.2:

These two cards were made for my Christmas in July classes to be held later this week. One of the things that I want to demonstrate to my ladies is just how easy it is to make bright and cheery cards using the ‘scraps’ of a more complex project. Using just the pieces of DSP I had left over from Card 1 and two additional floral diecuts, I put this card together in no time at all. This design could be replicated over and over to create lots of additional cards, something we all need at Christmas time.

and a tag:

Another thing that my class ladies have mentioned is that they would like to see examples where the one bundle is used to create lots of different craft projects. Buying a bundle to make one card or buying lots of different products to make a particular card is beyond most crafters, so they would like to see how they can get the most use out of the products that they do buy. This is going to be a bit of a focus of my classes going forward. Buy the Suite or Bundle and make it work HARD!!!

So with that in mind the final card that we are going to make in class this week is in fact a tag.

The Tailor Made Tags are a must have and along with the Tidings & Trimmings bundle are perfect for making cute tags that will be the perfect finishing touch to your Christmas gift giving. Unless of course you are like me. I wrap gifts as soon as I buy them, telling myself that I will definitely remember what it is and who it is for, only to need to do a bit of a swap around on Christmas morning once all the parcels have been opened. 🙂

Art With Heart Team | Heart of Christmas blog hop:

It’s now time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely and talented Rosa Leyden. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of Tina Gillespie who is this week’s host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. There you will find the list of all who are participating this week.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by this week. I hope to see you back here next Monday, when the team will have more of their inspiration and wonderful creations to share with you.

In the meantime if you would like a copy of either the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue or the July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Fantastic cards and gift tag which I love!!! I think a product sells more if you use the same bundle etc over and over. Our customers like to see a range of ways we can use a product. Good luck!

Great ways to show how to stretch your products … if only I could be this economical in my crafting! LOL. I just love the colours in these papers, and particularly love how you’ve used them on your first card, Michele. Beautiful projects. Roll on next week, when we’ve had time to play with new goodies!
