Heart of Christmas | Painted Christmas No. 2

Welcome to the last Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2021. The Heart of Christmas blog hop is brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we have enjoyed showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis. I hope that we have been able to inspire your Christmas card making and crafting. A big thanks to our weekly organisers Tina, Sharon and Rachel who have ensured that the hops progressed perfectly.

my card:

……uses some products from the Painted Christmas suite, that I am very pleased to say, will be carrying over. The Christmas Season and Christmas to Remember stamp sets and Seasonal Labels and Pinecones die sets, as well as, the Painted Season DSP will be making an encore appearance in the next annual catalogue. YAY!!!

The only item that is retiring is the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon. You will be able to find the Gold Holly Leaves in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalogue.

After embossing the bottom section of my panel of Basic White with the pine needles from the Wintry 3D embossing folder set, I stamped several of the foliage images and a few berries on the top portion. The panel was then mounted on a piece of DSP before being adhered to a card base of Evening Evergreen.

I adhered a one inch wide piece of the now retired Be Dazzling specialty paper over the point where the two sections met. I also stamped and diecut two additional pieces of foliage and I tucked these under the glittery band. To tie in the red berries I stamped and diecut my favourite Christmas greeting in Real Red, applied it to my card using dimensionals and then added a couple of Red Rhinestones as a finishing touch.

I added the same stamped images to my inside panel and the envelope.

Just a heads-up. If you love the bundles in this suite now is the time to buy them, because when they return next year, it appears that they are going to be sold separately and that means no 10% saving.

For me, your card has a real Aussie vibe going on, Michele. I’m thinking hot summer days and peppercorn trees when I look at it, and the white embossed area reminds me of the hopes of cooler evenings. A really lovely Christmas card.

  2. Kate Morgan

Lovely card, Michele. The Wintry embossing folder works well with these images from the Painted Christmas Suite. I love that you have stamped inside the card and the envelope to match!

  3. Tina Gillespie

Oh, how delightful! I guess that these images are probably based on American foliage, but they always make me think of Australian trees. It’s such a fabulous card for our Christmas.

  4. Catherine Proctor

Michelle this is such a great layout! I too am so glad this stamp set is carrying over as it is my fave from the catty. Merry Christmas to you and your family too.

  5. Rosa Leyden

Love this DSP and happy it is returning but I don’t have the stamp and die set so may need to think about purchasing. Great idea to add some Christmas sparkle to your card Michele.

  6. CHRISTINE BLAIN

Beautiful card, Michele. I love your stamping, and the addition of the glittery band. The foliage peeking out from under the band is a great touch, as is the gorgeous red sentiment.
