Each year in April/May, in line with the release of the new Annual Catalogue, Stampin’ Up! introduce the NEW In Colours for the next two years. While it is always sad to see the oldest In Colours retire, it is with much anticipation that we all wait to see the new colours that will influence our crafting over the next two years.
The five new In Colours for 2020-2022 are:
We all had a sneak peek of Bumble Bee when the beautiful Ornate Garden Suite was offered as a preorder. I have loved creating cards using the products from this suite, especially the designer series paper, which is simply stunning. You can see my cards featuring the Ornate Garden Suite and the new In Colour – Bumble Bee here.
As green is my favourite colour I was immediately drawn to Just Jade. The Forever Greenery Suite features Just Jade paired with five other shades of green from the Stampin’ Up! colour collection. The Forever Greenery Suite is one of my favourites from the new catalogue and I have already made a number of cards using products from the suite. You can read more information about the suite and see cards I have made using the products here.
This first colour swatch shows Just Jade sitting among the green shades currently available at Stampin’ Up!
And in this swatch I have teamed it with the blue/green shades currently available as part of the Stampin’ Up! colour collection. Just Jade is an interesting colour as in real life it probably works best with Shaded Spruce, but here, looking at these swatches it looks like it fits within the blue/greens better. I wonder what surprising colour combinations we are going to see over the coming months as crafters and stampers put their creative hats on and begin using it in their projects.
Card no. 1:
This card feature Just Jade as the card base. You can see how well it works with the beautiful striped paper from the Forever Greenery DSP.
While I do love green I am also rather partial to the colour blue. Misty Moonlight is the new blue colour within the group of five new In Colours. It is a gorgeous colour……a misty, denim blue/grey. I can see myself using this a lot as just like denim, it goes with just about everything. Here in this swatch you can see it grouped with all the blue shades/tones in the Stampin’ Up! range.
Card no. 2:
For my card I teamed it with Basic Gray and a piece of designer series paper from Forever Greenery that features Just Jade and blue/green foliage. I do love the subtle tones. I can see Misty Moonlight being one of my ‘go to’ colours.
