I absolutely love the Painted Season Bundle available FREE when you spend $180 during Sale-A-Bration. This cling stamp set features 7 Distinktive stamps. Use them with the Stamparatus and some sponge daubers and you can achieve the most beautiful colourised images. I also love the fact that there is a set of coordinating framelits available which makes achieving a very professional image just so easy. Please note that even though Sale-A-Bration finishes this Sunday 31 March there is still time to earn this bundle and purchase the coordinating framelits. Let me show you why you NEED this bundle and coordinating dies in your craft stash……
One of the things I have been focussing on this year is endeavouring to use the one bundle to make numerous card designs. I started with the designer series paper, using it as the inspiration when selecting my colour combinations. My first two cards feature a square card and a stamped wreath as the basis for the design.
I simply love the way that Stampin’ Up! products from different stories coordinate. Here I was able to use the Gingham Gala dsp and adhesive backed sequins with the Painted Seasons dsp. The leaf framelit is from the Foliage Frames set but is works so well with the stamped leaf it looks like it was made to go together.
After watching this video by Kylie Bertucci I decided that I would start to #loveitchopit my designer series papers when they were delivered. Over the years I have collected a few and I hate to admit it but there is at least one series that I know of that is still in its shrink wrap. I had to sit and think about it a bit before getting out the paper trimmer as I tend to make square cards and wanted to make sure that I catered for that when dicing and slicing. I actually used Photoshop to plan out how I would chop up each sheet and then set about getting it done. It really made putting these cards together very easy. I actually kept each and every piece and was able to utilise some of the smaller pieces on the next cards.
I stamped on the Whisper White card front before embossing it with the Subtle embossing folder. My sentiment uses sentiments from both the Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Well Said stamp sets. I have never been afraid to cut my stamps apart. Here I needed the word ‘happy’ in a script style as the ‘happy’ from the coordinating die set Well Written was too big for my design. I searched through my stamp sets and found the perfect ‘happy’ stamp – I just needed to seperate the happy from the birthday. On the inside of the card (and on the envelope) I used a sentiment from the All Adorned stamp set because, we all know that Mother’s are ‘the best ever.’ A few sequins and some metallic thread and the cards were finished and I love them. I even think I might like the rectangle cards even better than the square ones……and we all know that I really LOVE me a square card!!!
Here are a few close ups.
If you live in Australia and would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating these cards, please use the links below. Please also remember that Sale-A-Bration ends on 31 March. As of then so many lovely products, such as the Painted Seasons Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper, will be gone forever, so get your orders in this week.
Thanks Michele.
