This week the AWH team are showcasing the colour Mango Melody. I have been making a number of Christmas cards lately so for this week’s challenge I decided to do something a bit different. I used the stars stamp from the Bokeh Dots stamp set. Using the Stamparatus and sponge daubers made layering colour onto the stamp just so easy. I used Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry. These colours work so well together. I used Memento ink to stamp the sentiment, which is from the Little Twinkle stamp set. I matted the panel with Daffodil Delight cardstock after adhering some of the beautiful Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Silver Thread behind the panel. Using a now retired embossing folder called Lucky Stars I added some dimension to a piece of black cardstock. Please note that the current embossing folders Maps or Oh My Stars would make perfect substitutes for my older embossing folder. All of this was then attached to a card base of Mango Melody. This card could be used for a birthday, graduation and/or love note.
I love this technique of using multiple colours on the one stamp. This particular stamp would also work well as a background panel on Christmas cards.
