Week 1 | Peach Pie – AWHT CCBH 2024/25

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024-2025. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We began the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2024-2026 In Colors before showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order. So let me introduce you to the 2024-2026 In Colors starting with……

The colour Peach Pie is exactly represented by its name. It is the colour of a ripe peach. I will be honest and tell you that I am not a fan of peaches (too furry for me) and Peach Pie is my least favourite of the new In Colors, but I can certainly see how it fits into the Stampin’ Up! Colour Wheel. It works perfectly with Pumpkin Pie and any of the neutrals, especially my new favourite neutral, Basic Beige. I think it would work very well as part of an Autumn themed card or scrapbooking layout.

For the first five weeks of the blog hop, while we are introducing the new In Colors, I have decided to use one bundle, In Colors, black ink, Basic White c/s and Basic Beige c/s and ink. The bundle I have chosen to work with is Layers of Beauty, although I did need to pull in one birthday greeting from the new Simply Said stamp set. I have made all five cards in readiness and I look forward to highlighting a new one and a new colour each week.

My card:

I do love a simple card design and I do love a yellow rose and Peach Pie proved the perfect colour for this more muted design. The very clever masks that come as part of this bundle, help to achieve a beautiful tonal effect. I also chose to mask off the smaller flowers with some low tack tape so that I could colour them with Petunia Pop. Rather than use Basic White for my panel, I chose Basic Beige, as I really think it is the perfect tone with Peach Pie. The leaves are Summer Splash.

At the monthly market that I attend I am often asked for anniversary cards. I was so happy to see this lovely greeting as part of the stamp set. Isn’t the font just perfect?

I added a very small matt of Basic Black before adding the completed panel to a Peach Pie card base. The finishing touch was the addition of some Summer Splash gems. This pack of embellishments is a must have as they add just the right amount of sparkle and colour.

Such a pretty card and I love the layout. You did very well with Peach Pie!

  2. Tina Gillespie

Oh, how pretty! I love the partial image with all that lovely white (beige!) space. Such an elegant design, perfect for an anniversary card.

  3. Andrea Sargent

Simply gorgeous card Michele. I love the way you have the roses hanging down from the top corner, just showing a section of the stencilled design. Masking the smaller flowers to enable them to be a different colour is very clever. Welcome back lovely lady. I have missed you. xxx

  4. Kate Morgan

So pretty, Michele, this bundle is going to have to drop into my cart for sure. I love the thin black matted border and the Basic Beige cardstock is going to one of my favourites too, so gorgeous. The way you stamped part of the image in the top corner, leaves us waiting to see what else you create with the full image!

  5. Ros Davidson

You card looks lovely and I can’t wait to see the other four cards over the next four weeks.

  6. Rosa Leyden

Gorgeous card Michele, the flowers coloured using the masks are perfectly done. Love the use of Basic Beige instead of the usual Basic White.

  7. Kathryn

Michele, I love this bundle. I got it in the preorder and haven’t even used it yet! Thank you for inspiring me to make time to play with it this coming week!

  8. Theresa Gerrard

Such a lovely card Michele and the bundle is the perfect choice to feature Peach Pie. I’m really surprised that you’re not a fan of this lovely colour. Maybe this weeks hop might help change your mind as you have changed mine about this bundle. The sentiment stamp set is a must on my next order.

Michele, it is so lovely to have you back and I’m excited to see over the next five weeks how you’ve used the Layers of Beauty bundle to showcase the In Colors. I love the way you’ve masked off the smaller flowers with some low tack tape so that you could colour them with Petunia Pop – this is such a beautiful sprig of flowers.

  10. CHRISTINE BLAIN

Divine!! Such an inspired choice, to stamp on Basic Beige, Michele … you’re right, it’s perfect with Peach Pie. I am in love with this product bundle. Once I started playing with it, I didn’t want to stop. Your anniversary card is perfection.
