Week 2 | Petunia Pop – AWHT CCBH 2024/25

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024-2025. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We began the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2024-2026 In Colors before showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order. So let me continue on with my introduction of the 2024-2026 In Colors. Week 2 we are exploring……

The colour Petunia Pop can be found in the red-violet section of the colour wheel. I love this colour as it is more purple than pink. It will be fabulous for flowers and baby cards and is the perfect complement to Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath, as this graphic shows.

This year I have decided to introduce the exciting new In Colors using the same bundle, Layers of Beauty. Along with my chosen In Color products I will be using Memento Black ink, Basic Beige ink and c/s and Basic White c/s. In Weeks 3 and 5 I will also pull in a birthday greeting from the new Simply Said stamp set. You can see my Week 1 post here.

My card:

Another simple card again this week. However, you would never know as this fabulous bundle, with coordinating masks, makes for a beautifully detailed and coloured image. My yellow roses were achieved using just Peach Pie ink, as I simply used the masks to layer on more colour each time. The leaves were coloured using Summer Splash and the flower centres and greeting are Petunia Pop. I love this greeting as I can see it being used for just so many occasions. It actually makes me smile.

I stamped the large floral with Basic Beige ink as I wanted to experiment with different coloured outlines. I really like the way the Basic Beige fades into the background and isn’t the first thing you see when you look at the card.

The 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems are divine. I have been using them on all my recent cards, to the point where I have popped two more packets in my cart. The Basic Beige ribbon adds a little texture to what is an otherwise ‘flat’ card. I matted the focal panel with Basic Beige before adhering it all to a Petunia Pop card base.
