Week 4 | Shy Shamrock – AWHT CCBH 2024/25

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024-2025. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We begin the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2024-2026 In Colors before showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order. So let me continue on with my introduction of the 2024-2026 In Colors. Week 4 we are exploring……

Week 4: Shy Shamrock

The colour Shy Shamrock is a clear bright green. I think it will work perfectly with Shaded Spruce for Christmas and cards that feature foliage or the great outdoors. I will probably team it back with Crumb Cake and even Pecan Pie.

My card:

As they say……when you are on a good thing……stick to it!!! I again used the Layers of Beauty bundle when creating my card. You can see the others HERE, HERE and HERE.

Onto a card base of Shy Shamrock I added a matt of DSP and a panel of basic white that had been stamped with a section of the large floral bouquet.

This lovely striped DSP comes from the 2024-2026 In Color DSP pack. I did sponge the edges before applying it to my card base.

The Layers of Beauty bundle comes with a die that cuts out the entire bouquet and another smaller die that only cuts out one of the single blooms. After stamping and colouring the single rose I diecut it and put it ‘back into place’ using dimensionals. I added a couple of additional leaves in Summer Splash to match the ones I had coloured using the coordinating masks.

I think it was very clever of Stampin’ Up! to include the two different dies as it makes for endless possibilities. I can’t wait to experiment some more.

I like how you have kept a black and white floral in the background and a small pop of colour for the foreground. Like spotlighting technique but different.

  2. Rachel Palmieri

This series has me enthralled and I really was wondering what you would share this week Michele! I’m not disappointed either, this is really lovely with the coloured flower really drawing attention to itself and ably supported by Shy Shamrock. I’m already looking forward to this weeks instalment!

  3. Christine Blain

Beautiful card, Michele. With Shy Shamrock being such a bright, bold colour, it was an inspired choice to use just the outline of the floral spray in the background. The “popped up” rose looks gorgeous. Everything’s beautifully put together.

  4. Kate Morgan

Love this, Michele. The outline stamped and then the coloured stamped/coloured image popped up is brilliant! Wonderful colour combination too with the striped DSP background.

  5. Catherine Proctor

Michele, I’m loving your Layers of Beauty bundle series of cards! I love the way the black and white uncolored stamped layer makes your sweet rose pop out. It is so effective.
