Welcome to the 2022 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will again be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.
my cards:
Tonight I am again featuring products form the Sweetest Christmas suite.
I particularly like the diagonal prints in the designer series paper and thought that the large white lines were the perfect place for stamping a greeting.
card no.1:
The ladies who attend my classes often ask, from where do I get my ideas. Like everyone I like to pour over the catalogue and search Pinterest and YouTube, but to be honest, I very often have no idea what I am going to make when I sit down at my craft table. Both of tonight’s cards were made with discarded remnants. I have lots of clear plastic trays that stack inside each other and these are filled with all sorts of scraps, offcuts, discards and you know, all those bits and pieces that you can’t just throw away…..just in case I might need it. Occasionally, I like to challenge myself to use them.
I love these little flat bells. They are perfect as an embellishment and the Sweet Sorbet metallic ribbon is a dream to tie. It makes perfect large soft bows and frays nicely too.
card no.2:
After playing around with stamping directly onto the DSP I originally discarded this panel as the stamping was a bit wonky.
I found a previously diecut tag and other bits and pieces in one of my bins and decided that the tag covered all the wonkiness perfectly.
I must say that I am not normally a ribbon person but I am loving the Real Red & Garden Green ribbon that comes with this suite. It is soft and ties well. Here I folded it over itself several times before looping it through this fabulous little die cut with the perfect ribbon holes.
Art With Heart Team | Heart of Christmas blog hop:
It’s now time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely and talented Tina Gillespie. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of Sharon Davern who is the host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. There you will find the list of all who are participating this week.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by this week. I hope to see you back here next Monday, when the team will have more of their inspiration and wonderful creations to share with you.
In the meantime if you would like a copy of either the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and/or the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.
Michele.

Ribbon & Trim
Two gorgeous cards Michele. I love the way you have stamped in line with the striped DSP. There is certainly no wonkiest on display. I’m glad you didn’t throw the panel out – the tag with pine cones and leaves is delightful and so good that its strategic placement was useful and well as a beautiful addition. Xxx
LOL, gotta love a new idea to hide a bit of wonkiness! Your cards are lovely – such a great idea to stamp the sentiment in the stripes of the DSP. I hope that your class ladies like making the cards.
I love these, Michele. Can’t believe they are made with scraps, glad you kept them as they are way too good. I love that you stamped the sentiments directly onto the DSP between the lines. That ribbon and tag on your 2nd card looks fabulous.
Great cards Michele, I love the diagonal stripes too. How beautiful is your Sweet Sorbet Metallic ribbon bow? I love how you have showcased the ribbons on both your projects. It is always such an afterthought for me, mostly they end up getting left off LOL
You have inspired me to try harder 🙂
Gorgeous cards Michelle! I particularly love the way you have used the ribbon on the tag card – very cool!
Michele, I absolutely love your idea of stamping in the white space of the diagonal lines on the DSP – it’s a fantastic idea! The tag card is just gorgeous. All those little extra details and the folded green ribbon look fabulous – I love it!
What fabulous cards Michele. I love your use of off-cuts to avoid wasting re-usable bits. And wow that folded ribbon is just gorgeous! Love the gold accents on your second card.
Wonderful cards, Michele … love it when inspiration strikes, thanks to leftover “bits” on the craft desk! I really like that you used a tag to cover up wonky stamping – great news that you didn’t have to throw away the whole panel. 🙂 I love the tiny Christmas trees, and stamping of the sentiment, on your first card, and the gorgeous looped ribbon detail on your second card. Lots of lovely elements to look at on both cards. x
Michele, your stamped greetings on the lines add so much visual interest to your cards! The folded ribbon through the little die cut with the ribbon holes is such a neat feature too! Stunning cards.
