Welcome to the 2022 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will again be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.
How is it November already? 2022 is almost over and so unfortunately is our Heart of Christmas Blog Hop……just four more weeks. Eeek!!!
my cards:
My cards tonight both feature the Trimming the Tree stamp set and Celebrate Everything (Host) DSP. Trimming the Tree can be found in the annual catalogue and this very merry and bright DSP is available to purchase when you place an order of $250 or more. It can be found in the Host section of the mini catalogue.
Card no.1:
Two things that I love to do when creating a card are 1) mimic the DSP in my card design and colour palette and 2) stamp a wreath design.
The small ornament stamps found in the stamp set were perfect for this. I used Granny Apple Green for my wreath and the ornaments were stamped using Crushed Curry, Pacific Point, Polished Pink and Real Red. The greeting and bows were stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
I was so pleased with the result that I thought I might try another……
card no.2:
These tiny ornaments are just so cute. I always like to look at the smaller elements in a stamp set in terms of how I might use them for Stamping in the Round, wreath building and these are just perfect.
Tiny as they are, they stamp up beautifully……very crisp and clean.
The addition of the three groups of ‘berries’ may or may not have been required because of a small finger smudge. Shh!!! Don’t tell anyone. 🙂
Art With Heart Team | Heart of Christmas blog hop:
It’s now time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely and talented Caroline Manwaring. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!
If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of Sharon Davern who is the host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. There you will find the list of all who are participating this week.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by this week. I hope to see you back here next Monday, when the team will have more of their inspiration and wonderful creations to share with you.
In the meantime if you would like a copy of either the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and/or the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.
Michele.

Oh my, Michele, both of these cards are a real wow! I love the happy bright colours that mimic the designer papers and you certainly create the best SITR cards. I think I love the second one more; with all those tiny bauble stamps and the placement, it’s outstanding!
Oh My Goodness Michele, your cards are stunning! I love everything about them! Beautiful SITR design. I absolutely love how you have showcased those tiny ornaments in your stamping. Both cards are utterly gorgeous.
Michele, you have matched your stamping to the DSP perfectly! I love both of these wreath cards. Just stunning!!
Oh, my! Your wreath cards are delightful! They match the background DSP so perfectly. I especially love the second card – the interplay of the sparkle stamps and baubles is perfection.
These are just beautiful, Michele. I especially love the first card … I’m rather taken with the black bows that “hold” all the gorgeous bright baubles on the wreath. I, too, love that you used the colours in the DSP in your stamped designs, and created wreaths – your specialty. Berries, butterflies, flowers – all useful for covering up smudges! LOL
