Welcome to the 2023 Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. Each Monday, through until mid December, we will be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have to offer. For the month of August we will working with Christmas products found in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue and those on offer as an Online Exclusive. So let’s get started……
my card:
My card features a mix and match of several products. The gorgeous focal panel was diecut using the Aspen Tree dies and even though it is not part of the same suite, the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP that I chose to use as the backdrop, works perfectly. My ‘reindeer’ is from another set of dies – Grove and the lovely festive greeting is from the Trucking Along bundle, which is an Online Exclusive.
The One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, which is another Online Exclusive, features a number of traditional wintry scenes on the A-sides. While these are beautiful, they are not completely appropriate for those of us who celebrate Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere. So, I chose to use the paper that to me looks like a sunset on a hot summer’s day, behind the diecut frame. I actually purchased the DSP because I love the B-sides……fabulous patterns in a great colour palette. Check them out online.
It may be hard to see but there are tiny red flowers in the DSP, so I decided to draw these out with my choice of colour for the card base. I then adhered some additional small red blossoms around the frame, the centre’s of which were coloured with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.
A poinsettia stamped in Real Red was the perfect adornment for the envelope.
