Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2022-2023. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. This year we are starting with the fabulous NEW 2022-2024 In Colors.
Week 2: Parakeet Party
How fabulous is this bright crisp green – Parakeet Party? I am a lover of green and think that this gorgeous colour complements the Stampin’ Up! range perfectly. I also think that it works so very well with the other In Colors, but especially Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet.
Being an In Color you will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that feature Parakeet Party.
But my favourite product to feature the colour Parakeet Party is……
My projects:
card no.1:
My first card features the Parakeet Party coloured card and envelope from the Tea Boutique set. I used the Cup of Tea bundle to create my scalloped panel. I adore this little striped teacup which was stamped using Crushed Curry.
The greeting (Sending Smiles stamp set), leaves and flowers were stamped directly onto the Basic White panel before I adhered the tea cup with dimensionals. I stamped and diecut a slice of lime and tucked it behind my teacup.
card no.2:
My second card introduces some of the gorgeous Tea Boutique DSP. I layered two of the different designs behind my decorated panel. The greeting is again from the Sending Smiles stamp set. I have a feeling that this is going to be my go-to set for sentiments as I love the clean simple font and greetings.
card no.3:
And for my final card I created a wreath using floral images from the Sending Smiles stamp set. If you have overlooked this fabulous bundle you can find it on page 14 of the new annual catalogue. The greeting for this card comes from the Flowering Tulips stamp set and it was diecut using the new Stylish Shapes dies. I created a wreath for each of the new In Colors. You can see my Orchid Oasis one HERE.
I also created tea boxes for my launch parties to be held this week. They are very sweet and just the right size as they contain a tea bag and treat. (see ‘my projects’ photo above)

Fabulous cards but your wreath card really draws me in. I think it’s the Parakeet Party with the Orchid Oasis.
Such great cards again Michele, just loving your wreath cards! We are following each other a bit with our products and what we like to use how cool is that!! Love the tea cards they are do very cute, bright and great layouts and then the flower wreath card as always love seeing your cards!
Wow, you were super busy this week creating with the new colours, Michele. I love your STIR card the best, but it was hard to choose. I am trying to resist that tea cup bundle, but you are making it hard 😉
Such bright and cheerful cards Michele and as always you have created a lovely In the Round card.
Love the tea cup card! It’s a great suite isn’t it? That dsp is stunning and I love how you used the white so it didn’t overwhelm your card too much.
Well, you’ve pretty much convinced me I need those beautiful Tea Boutique note cards & envelopes, Michele! Beautiful creations, as always. I agree with your comments about the beautiful, versatile, Sending Smiles stamp set; you’ve used it beautifully tonight.
Your cards are both so fabulous, but I especially love the floral wreath card. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Very cute and colourful cards Michele. They all look fabulous with the different elements and techniques like SITR.
Wow Michele – 3 gorgeous cards and a delightful tea box. Brilliant projects and love the coordination of Parakeet Party with the Cup of Tea bundle. So love your stampin in the round card. I had thought how well the Sending Smiles stamp set would work with stamping in the round and you have shown it perfectly. Love it. Xxx
Oh you are the queen of wreath cards, Michele, and I love your tea box too. All your cards are gorgeous!
