Week 11: Cajun Craze
You will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that feature Cajun Craze.
But my favourite product to feature this deep russet colour is……
……and while I didn’t use this fabulous DSP when creating my card this week, I am using it in my August classes……just in time for Father’s Day!
My card:
I actually really like the colour Cajun Craze a lot and would describe it as a deep rust colour, which is very on trend in the design and decor world at the moment, as it works back so well with natural timbers, stone and earthy colours.
For my card I used a new (for me) stamp set called Wildflower Path. I had been eyeing it off in the catalogue and it finally jumped into my cart. Isn’t it gorgeous?
After stamping my wildflowers I added the sky and grassy knoll using blending brushes and masks made using the Basic Borders dies. I love this technique and use it often. 
I also added some wildflowers to the inside panel of my card and the envelope. Two-step stamping is the BEST!!! It adds so much texture and interest to a stamped image. I used Cajun Craze to stamp the first image and used it again when stamping the more detailed image and this is the result. No ‘stamping off’ second generation stamping needed.
For my finishing touches I added a greeting (also from the stamp set), a bow of linen thread and some brushed butterflies.
