A Rainbow Birthday

I really enjoy making square cards. The shape and slightly larger size really appeals to me. Consequently, I have lots of 5.5in by 0.5in strips left over. I had considered throwing them out but……you know how difficult that is for us crafters. So I have set out to use up some of my growing stash of strips.

Firstly, I arranged the strips in rainbow order before selecting 11 of the strips and the matching ink pads. I then glued the chosen strips onto a larger off-cut of cardstock and cut it down to size.

Next, I used my trusty Stamparatus to stamp the chosen sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set in a stack that matched the rainbow strip I had created. I stamped four panels at once and it was just so easy using the Stamparatus.

Finally, I attached the strip to the card front and then the stamped panel using dimensionals. Using the Twinkle Builder punch I punched a few foil stars to add just a little bit of shine.

I am very happy with the result and will use this idea again as these cards would be perfect for anybody……male/female, young/old, etc. Now I really do need to come up with some more ideas in order to use up my ever growing pile of off-cuts.
