AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop | Week 11 – Cinnamon Cider

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.

Week 11: Cinnamon Cider

You will find a number of products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue that feature Cinnamon Cider including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, ink refill, Stampin’ Blends, In Color 2020-2022 Designer Series Paper pack and In Color 2020-2022 Stampin’ Write Markers. Cinnamon Cider also appears in a number of designer series paper packs – Beauty of the Earth (AC), Blackberry Bliss (JD), Bloom Where You’re Planted (AC), Gingerbread & Peppermint (JD), Hand-Penned (AC) and Sweet Stockings (JD).

My favourite product to feature the colour Cinnamon Cider is……

……and I used it when creating my card for this week’s blog hop.

My card:

In between watching the Olympics and the footy I sat down at the craft table to create two special order cards. My mother-in-law had requested I make her two birthday cards – an 80th and a 60th. Her only instruction was, “They have to be really, really special!”

One card was for her sister who had recently lost her husband and the other for her lovely neighbour. Bev (88 years young MIL) lives on her own an hour and a half away from Stephen and I. Stephen is very attentive, he visits at least once a week and FaceTimes her often. Lisa, her lovely neighbour checks on Bev each day and she and her husband run small errands for her. Without Lisa, the past two years would have been impossible.

So yes, the cards needed to be SPECIAL!!!

This is Lisa’s card. Lisa loves to garden so the choice to use the Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper was an easy one.

The card folds down to fit in a standard envelope and has a place on which to write the greeting, on the back.

Even though it doesn’t feature Cinnamon Cider, I thought you might like to see the other version.

I had lots of fun making these cards as I hadn’t made a pop-up box for years. They were all the rage a few years back. Best part is that Bev thought they were wonderful.
