Welcome to the Art With Heart Team, Colour Creations Blog Hop, for 2021-2022. Each week members of the team will showcase a current colour (in alphabetical order) from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range.
Week 4: Bermuda Bay
Is it only me, but every time I say Bermuda Bay I start singing (in my head, thankfully) Kokomo by the Beach Boys.
Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take ya
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don’t we go, Jamaica……
I digress……let’s look at the bright gorgeous Bermuda Bay.
You will find a number of products in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that feature Bermuda Bay including – Classic Stampin’ Pad, cardstock, Stampin’ Blends, ink refill, Watercolor Pencils and Brights Stampin’ Write Markers.
But my favourite Bermuda Bay products are……
This Rainbow Glimmer paper adds the sparkle and fun to any card or crafting project. The best thing about it is that the sparkle stays on the paper and not all over your face, hands, etc. 🙂
The 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper assortments are a must have in your crafting arsenal. The Brights assortment is a particular favourite of mine and a ‘go-to’ when I need a coordinating piece of DSP.
My card:
My card features two fabulous new products – the Macrame embossing folder and the Picture This dies. The embossing folder adds such lovely texture and the die, great interest to any panel. The diecut ‘windows’ are also a great place for showcasing sentiments and nestling in cute little elements and embellishments.
I used the small frangipani stamp from the Timeless Tropical stamp set and leaf dies and the coordinating In the Tropics set of dies when creating my card.
I popped up the Bermuda Bay diecut panel, using dimensionals, for added depth. This die is so versatile as it has so many possibilities. I used it in Week One of our blog hop when creating one of my baby cards. You can see that card here.

Great use of those dies, and a lovely colour combo Michele. A bright, fresh design. I can almost smell the sea breeze and feel the warmth of a tropical sun!
Haha your card matches the song beautifully! But alas no Bermuda Bay doesn’t remind me of it though. Love how you have used the Picture This dies Michele. Lovely card
Love a good sing a long, and looks like a few of us might need to get together and have one at all the names on the ink! Love your card but then I love frangipani’s as they were my flower in my bridal bouquet! Love the texture in the window panels. I need to put that embossing folder on my next order!
Oh bring on the warmer weather and a tropical holiday. That Macrame TIEF looks so great and the placement of those frangipani. Michele, you got me in on the tune – love that song!
Amazing tropical card Michele, I love the layers and textures.
Sadly you are not the only one who breaks out into song after the name of the ink. For me it out loud though so I can embarrass the kids. I love your tropical card. A much needed visual for these winter days. The tropical stamp set is on my list xox
What a lovely card Michele! The texture from the folder looks great and I really like the hint of pink in the centre of the flowers.
I love seeing older stamp sets mixed in with new product, and this was an inspired choice Michele. Could be Bermuda, Bahamas but wait… what about Hawaii? Really love those bright, clear colours all together.
Michele you have used those window dies in a great way to showcase the macrame embossing folder. This EF will definitely be on my next shopping list.
I laughed at your opening comments, Michele. I’ve not once thought of that song when seeing, or thinking about, Bermuda Bay! I get the feeling that’s about to change, now you’ve planted the thought!
I love the softness of the flowers against the bright, bold, Bermuday Bay background on your card. I really like the different leaves you added, too. Lovely card!
Michelle, you make me laugh – now I have that song in my brain!!! But seriously, this is such a cool card and I feel instantly relaxed just looking at it!
Your card is lovely – very tropical! And now I want to go and watch the movie Cocktail! LOL!
Lovely summery card on this freezing winter night, bring on the warm weather!
