Week Three: Bermuda Bay
Bermuda Bay can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Brights Colour Collection. It is a lovely medium greenish blue (aqua) and it certainly reminds me of the beautiful bays and beaches my husband and I have visited, both here in Australia and along the shores of the Adriatic, Ionian, Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian seas.
There are several Bermuda Bay products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stamp’ Blends Combo Pack and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Brights Assortment.
Bermuda Bay also features in the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper pack. This DSP is just one product in the Artistry Blooms Suite, which can be found on pages 130 to 132 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. The DSP features ‘sweeping brushstrokes and beautifully blended colour gradients’ and the paper I chose as my inspiration highlights this perfectly.
my card:
My card features the Dino Days stamp set and coordinating Dino dies. This stamp set is one of Stampin’ Up!’s Distinktive™ range. The light and shade you are able to achieve with just one ink pad colour is fantastic. I do find that Distinctive™ stamps work best when your ink pad is not too juicy.
I also used the Mountain Air bundle to create the background for my brightly coloured dinosaurs.
Initially, I intended to follow the colour palette shown above. But, after experimenting with different coloured dinosaurs, I decided that a Night of Navy dinosaur was just too dark and so I swapped it out for a Daffodil Delight one. To complete the card I added some Coastal Cabana jewels from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels
The greeting is from the fabulous Many Mates stamp set. I used the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack to shade the bottom half of my chosen greeting. I absolutely love the different fonts and sentiments in this set. It is a must have, so put it on your list!!!
