AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Blushing Bride

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week Five: Blushing Bride

Blushing Bride forms part of the Stampin’ Up! Subtles Colour Collection and is a muted mid-tone dusty pink colour. There are several Blushing Bride products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Subtles Assortment.

Blushing Bride also features in the Gorgeous Posies Project Kit, which can be found on page 8 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. This ‘gorgeous’ kit makes 16 cards when teamed with the Gorgeous Posies stamp set which, can also be found on page 8. Kits make the perfect gift for that crafty friend or are a wonderful way to dip your toe into the world of card making, as all the hard work has been done for you. Of course, you can buy it simply because it is stunning and you really need it in your stash of crafty goodness!!! 🙂

While Blushing Bride is not officially listed in any of the designer series papers this year, I found that in fact is does work very well with certain papers from both the Ornate Garden and Playing with Patterns designer series papers.

I made these cards a few months back, using selected papers from the Ornate Garden DSP .

For today’s cards I used paper from……

card number 1:

My first card showcases the Playful Alphabet dies. This sensational must-have set of dies is available to purchase on its own or as part of the Pattern Play bundle. These products are just part of the Play With Pattern Suite, which an be found on pages 100 to 102 in the catalogue. Using the dies in combination wth the welcome die from Well Written and the small ‘sweet baby’ greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set I created a baby card. The patterned paper is diecut using a die from the Ornate Layers die set, as is the stitched panel of Whisper White. The Calypso Carol sequins are from Artistry Blooms set of sequins.

I used the fabulous new Foam Adhesive Sheets for the name. They diecut like butter. The hardest part was ensuring that I centred and lined up the letters evenly on my card. I then gave each letter a lick of Wink of Stella to make them shine. The word welcome was diecut three times before being piled up to create dimension. The Adhesive Sheets are fabulous for this and make it so easy……no messy, glue covered fingers.

card number 2:

I used my trusty Stamparatus and stamps from the Family Party stamp set for my second card. It also features a piece of patterned paper from the Playing With Paper DSP, a greeting from the Many Mates stamp set (I won’t bore you by telling you again, that it is a must-have and my absolute all time favourite set for greetings) 😉 and some clear gems from the Elegant Faceted pack of gems. I used Stampin’ Blends to colour the greeting and added some shine with some Wink of Stella. I love the happy little card. It just makes me smile.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.
