AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Crushed Curry

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week Thirteen: Crushed Curry

Crushed Curry is a colour I associate with Autumn. I love it teamed with earthy, rich colours and neutrals such as Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, Olive Green, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry. Cajun Craze forms part of the Stampin’ Up! Regals Colour Collection and I would describe it as a clear medium yellow. There are several Crushed Curry products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Regals Assortment.

Crushed Curry also features in the Playing With Patterns designer series paper and coordinating resin dots. It is a happy bright DSP that is perfect for a range of occasions. I have used it when creating birthday, friendship, thank you and baby cards.

my card:

The colour scheme for today’s card was taken from a single piece of paper in the Playing With Paper pack. I really like this striped paper which features Crushed Curry, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

The colour palette was perfect for my birthday card which also features the wonderful So Much Happy bundle.

My card base is Crushed Curry, my matt is Night of Navy and it was from this piece that I die cut the large HAPPY and my final layer is the striped DSP. I stamped the star in the ‘window’ using Night of Navy before brushing each star with Wink of Stellar to give them a twinkle. The simple single word birthday is from Family Party. I love the versatility of this set, there are just so many possibilities. Finally I added two stamped and diecut balloons with silver foil strings.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
