AWHT Creative Showcase for November – 5 Products ONLY!

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase for the month of November. This month the team was challenged to create cards using only 5 products. Now, according to the rules, the 5 products does not include staples such as glue, stamp blocks, etc. So I mean, how hard can it be?!?!?!

Sneak peek alert……my cards were made using new products from the upcoming January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue.

The Dandy Garden Suite Collection includes two stamp sets, a set of dies, a punch, designer series paper, laser-cut paper, Memories & More card pack, Memories & More cards and envelopes, braided linen trim and the cutest ladybug trinkets you have ever seen. It is a mega suite and the possibilities are endless!

Both of my cards use the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and Dandy Garden 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.

All items in the Dandy Garden Suite will be available for purchase on 1 January 2021 when the new and very gorgeous January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue goes live!!!

Card no. 1:

Using Misty Moonlight I stamped the largest image onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I used a post-it note to mask off a section for my sentiment. I then diecut the stamped image and adhered it onto a standard sized card base of Misty Moonlight, to which I had already added a piece of the gorgeous DSP.

Who knew that weeds could look so good? 🙂

Products used-

  1. Cardstock – Misty Moonlight #153086 and Whisper White #106549
  2. Designer Series Paper (#154297 – available 1 January 2021)
  3. Stamp Set – DragonFly Garden (#154411 – available 1 January 2021)
  4. Ink – Misty Moonlight #153118
  5. Die – Ornate Layers #152726

Card no. 2:

My second card uses both the A and B-sides of the DSP. In fact, I used the left over pieces from the same piece of paper that I used for my first card. I again stamped the largest floral image onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and nestled in another of the lovely sentiments from the stamp set. I then carefully positioned a die over my stamped image before cutting it out and adhering it to my card base.

Products used-

  1. Cardstock – Misty Moonlight #153086 and Whisper White #106549
  2. Designer Series Paper (#154297 – available 1 January 2021)
  3. Stamp Set – DragonFly Garden (#154411 – available 1 January 2021)
  4. Ink – Misty Moonlight #153118
  5. Die – Tasteful Labels #152886

Now, for the truth! It wasn’t so easy limiting the number of products used to just 5, but it was a fun challenge and I am very happy with the simple cards I created. Not every card needs all the bells and whistles. It just shows that when you have wonderfully coordinated products, it is easy to make something lovely.

BUT, I am just itching to add some linen trim and a ladybird trinket!!! 😉

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see in this month’s AWH Team Creative Showcase. Please hop back to Rachel’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their gorgeous creations.

Thanks Michele.

Two lovely cards, Michele. Great choice of stamp set and DSP.

  2. Sharon Davern

Your cards are so great and I love how you used the masking for the sentiment. I too wanted to reach for some ribbon for my project. Just 1 more supply. They are beautiful and really shows what you can do with just a few supplies!

  3. Tina Gillespie

Hehe, I feel your pain! It was so tempting to just keep reaching for more things to add! Your cards are wonderful – the colours are so bold and striking. I love the masking on the first to make room for the sentiment.

  4. Rachel Woollard

Beautiful cards Michele, I love how you’ve used your limited supplies
