AWHT Colour Creations Showcase – Granny Apple Green

Welcome to the Colour Creations Showcase……the 2020-2021 version. This weekly showcase is brought to you by the Stampin’ Up! Art With Heart Team, Australia.

Week 19: Granny Apple Green

Granny Apple Green is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Brights collection…….and is a bright and happy, medium green. There are several Granny Apple Green products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Brights Assortment.

The Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper also features Granny Apple Green. This bright and cheery paper pack features ‘sweeping brushstrokes and beautifully blended colour gradients’ and is perfect for any occasion.

Another gorgeous paper to include Granny Apple Green in its colour palette is the ‘must have’ Rainbow Glimmer Paper. It is such fun and a perfect way to add the sparkle and shine to any card or project.

my card:

For my card I used products from the Whale of a Time Suite. I didn’t initially buy this suite when the new annual was first released. I loved the colour palette and the images are glorious but I wasn’t exactly sure how I would use it. After seeing several beautiful cards created with it, I did relent and…..it is even better in real life and I have found sooooooo many uses for it. 😉 In fact it is becoming one of my go-to products, especially the designer series paper.

Really, the paper does all the work on my card. The only stamping is the small Happy Birthday. The whale itself is punched from a piece of the DSP, as is the seaweed which was diecut using a die from the Smooth Sailing set. This underwater scene is gorgeous and I tried to position my whale so that it looked like it was swimming up towards the sunlight.

I really enjoyed creating this card as I love this suite of products and Granny Apple Green is actually one of my favourite colours in the Stampin’ Up! range. It is such a bright cheery colour.

If, like me,  you have fallen in love with the Whale of a Time DSP, you are in luck. During October Stampin’ Up! has a promotion on select Designer Series Papers. Whale of a Time is just one of the 15 DSPs on sale, as is Artistry Blooms, the other DSP to include Granny Apple Green in its colour palette. For more info click on the image above.

Thanks for visiting but, there is so much more to see. Please hop back to Catherine’s blog where you will find links to all the other team members and their Granny Apple Green creations.

If you would like to purchase any of the products that I used when creating this card, the links are included below. If you would like a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue and/or the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue, please contact me and I will pop one in the post for you.

Thanks Michele.
