Week 35: Pool Party
Pool Party is one of the colours in the Stampin’ Up! Subtles collection…….and is a pale blue with a touch of green to it. There are several Pool Party products available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. These include Classic Stampin’ Pad, A4 Cardstock, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends, Sheer Ribbon and the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Subtles Assortment.
Pool Party features in a number of designer series paper collections across all three current catalogues……
One other Pool Party product that I would like to highlight, because Valentine’s Day is approaching, is the Sweet Little Valentine’s Cards & More. I have seen so many gorgeous projects created with this product……cards, mini albums, banners, books, scrapbook pages. It really does put the MORE in your crafting stash!!!
my card:
My card features two products that can be found in the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini. The Baby Pull Toys stamp set and the must have blending brushes.
Firstly, I created my own masking stencil using one of the heart dies from the Stitched Be Mine set. I masked of a section off my card and then applied the Pool Party ink using one fo the blending brushes.
I stamped the sweet little elephant and coloured it in using Stampin’ Blends and cut it out using a stitched circle die. A diecut scalloped circle of Pool Party cardstock and a twine bow were added behind the stamped circle before it was attached, using dimensionals, to my card base. Adding the sentiment and some rhinestones completed my card.
This stamp set is so cute and filled what I perceived to be a bit of a hole in the Stampin’ Up! range. The images are sweet and so very easy to colour and the sentiments just that little bit different. I am really enjoying using it and have made several different cards already.

Oh my gosh, your card is so cute Michele! I love the stencilled hearts and all the white space. I LOVE white space on a card and this is perfect!
Such a cute card Michele. There is so much to love – your stencilled background using the hearts die cut, with the focal raised cute elephant, and the oh so effective layout with delicate use of embellishments.
