AWH Team Creative Showcase for June – Favourite New Product

Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase for the month of June. This month the team is featuring projects using their favourite products from the NEW Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. The catalogue is full of amazing new stamp sets, some of which are bundled with coordinating dies or punches. The best thing is that all bundles are available at a 10% discount. The extensive range of stamp sets are enhanced by cardstock, ink pads, coordinating designer series papers and accessories. Gorgeous all inclusive Kits, handy dandy tools and consumables complete the range of products you will see featured in this showcase.

Each time a new catalogue is launched we all pour over it, making lists of must haves and prioritising the purchase of these. We then see talented card makers using the new products and suddenly products that we had discounted are seen in a different light. We revisit our lists, adding these and more products……(I never seem to take things off my list)……and our favourites change and evolve over the life of a catalogue. So, when selecting my favourite products for this creative showcase, I have to say that these are my initial favourites and to be honest my favourites have probably changed already. One thing I can confidently say is that I am absolutely loving the Many Mates stamp set and it has fast become my go-to set for sentiments.

My cards:

I love to create square wreath cards and when I receive a new catalogue I always look at it through that lens. I look for small designs and little bits and pieces that will add depths to my design. The All Things Fabulous stamp set fits the bill beautifully. The stamp set has a set of coordinating dies – Fabulous Florals. Both items are available in a bundle at a 10% discount. The set includes 26 photopolymer stamps, some of which are used in a Two-Step method……or in the case of the flowers……three steps.

I chose to use the colours So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry and these three colours worked perfectly when layering up the flowers. I enjoyed the process so much that, using the Playing With Patterns DSP as inspiration, I decided to stamp two additional panels. As I didn’t have a third purple or coral tone I stamped off the darker colour in order to achieve the mid-tone. Each panel was then matted before being adhered to a coordinating piece of DSP. All three sentiments are from Many Mates. The sentiments were diecut using a stitched circle and matted using a scalloped circle. Coordinating jewels, gems or enamel dots were added as a finishing touch.

The Playing With Patterns 6in x 6in Designer Series Paper is definitely one of my favourite products. I love the colour palette but I also love the very diverse range of patterns. They are bright and playful but some of the B-Sides can be used for more formal cards.

I so love your square wreath cards Michelle, and these cards are no exception. I hadn’t paid much attention to the All Things Fabulous stamp set, but will be checking it out now. You have confirmed that the Many Mates stamp set needs to go higher on my list. Your description of how favourites change is so true. Thank you for inspiring me.

Stunning Michele, just love your style. What a great way to use that bright designer paper too. I have been thinking about this stamp set, oh dear, another one to add to my order!
