As I love creating wreath designs I am always on the look out for stamp sets with smaller icons/images. The Candy Cane Season Bundle fits the bill perfectly and the larger images and matching punch also make it super versatile when crafting a range of Christmas cards and favours. For this card I used the smaller holly leaves, holly berries and Be Jolly! stamps to create my wreath before stamping and punching out the candy canes and bow for the centre. Adding some gold thread, a gold facetted gem and matts of Under the Mistletoe dsp and Night of Navy cardstock (which I embossed with the Subtle embossing folder) help to bring together a ‘jolly’ nice Christmas card. I am a huge fan of plaid papers for Christmas……in fact anytime really! I particularly like a diagonal plaid as it makes the perfect matt. Personally, I would love to see Stampin’ Up! produce a 6×6 pack of Christmas plaid next year.
Next week I am hoping to make a start on my Christmas favours in readiness for our family get-togethers. I have ordered Mini Gable boxes this year and plan on using a range of stamps, dies and punches to decorate them……and I will certainly be using the Candy Cane Season Bundle.
