Welcome to the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2022-2023. Each week members of the team will showcase a colour from the extensive Stampin’ Up! range. We began the Stampin’ Up! year with the fabulous NEW 2022-2024 In Colors and are now showcasing the other colours in alphabetical order.
Week 18: Early Espresso
Early Espresso is one of my favourite neutrals and I like to use it as an alternative to black, especially for sentiments.
You will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and Jul-Dec 2022 Min Catalogue that feature Early Espresso. One of my favourites is the He’s The Man specialty designer series paper and I used it when creating my cards for tonight’s blog hop. I also used the coordinating bundle – He’s All That.
Did you notice the diecut sheet in this pack of paper? These quality diecuts make creating great cards super easy.
My cards:
my fancy fold card:
Card number one is an easel card and it features one of the diecuts – a VW Kombi van. I showcased a similar card in another recent blog. You can see that HERE.
The mountain range and pine tree are from the Mountain Air bundle but work back beautifully with this fabulous paper.
my other cards:
My other cards feature various diecuts and papers. The beauty of this paper is, if you don’t particularly like the A-side, the B-side is a wonderful neutral.
Given the very neutral colour palette of this paper, I really like the unexpected inclusion of the more subtle Soft Succulent.
The following card features the Timber embossing folder and the fabulous dies included in the He’s All That bundle. In fact the dies in this bundle are so good, they could be bought on their own, as they are great general shapes and would suit many greetings.
In my recent August classes the participants used this suite to create three masculine cards. After creating their kits I had numerous narrow strips of DSP left lying around on my craft table, so I used one of my favourite techniques (quilting) and created the focal panel for my card. After adhering down all the strips I embossed it with the now retired Subtle folder, the texture of which, actually mirrors the pattern in some of the patterned paper.
This card again features the Timber embossing folder and stamps and dies from Mountain Air. I also had a small strip of punched trees lying on my table so I included them too. If you look carefully at this particular paper you will actually see a feint mountain range in the background. I love it when this goes with that at……Stampin’ Up!
My final two offerings are simple cards that include paper scraps and a diecut or two. If fact I used the diecuts as the greetings for both cards.
Creating great masculine cards has never been easier than with the He’s The Man suite of products. It can be found on pages 78 and 79 of the annual catalogue.

Oh WOW! That’s a lot of stunning cards Michele. I like the variety of styles you’ve created.
Oh wow, 5 amazing masculine cards, Michele. I love them all, especially the ones with more soft succulent and those beautiful mountains. Great to have some cards for the fellas!
Wow Michele you have been super busy creating all of these fabulous cards. My 2 faves are the caravan card and the mountain one. Well done being so productive.
Fab fabulous set of cards Michele! I love all of them even down to using the scraps and bits left over to create your quilting card. The easel card is fantastic with the addition of the tree and kombi van but I just seem to be drawn to the cards with the mountains and gee would have missed the image in the DSP if you hadn’t pointed it out. Agree it’s nice when items coordinate so perfectly!
Oh wow oh wow Michele, what an awesome offering for tonight’s Colour Creation blog hop. Your cards are all wonderful at showcasing Early Espresso and the delightful He’s The Man suite. Xxx
Wow, what a great bunch of cards! You’ve nearly tempted me to buy this suite. You’ve used the papers and die cuts together so brilliantly.
Wow, Michele, these are all fabulous cards to showcase this colour and this suite. I think my fave is the horizontal one that the Timber embossing folder and stamps and dies from Mountain Air, but they are all gorgeous. Great masculine cards!
Oh my goodness, I just don’t know where to look! So many fabulous cards, Michele, showcasing Early Espresso and this great suite so well. I really love how you stamped the mountains in Soft Succulent on two of your cards – unexpected, but perfect! I bought just the dies, without the stamp set, and find them to be extremely versatile. 🙂
Oh boy!! How many cards did you make??? How amazing is that DSP pack? I love the way you have pulled all these cards together Michele!
