Week 15: Crumb Cake
You will find a number of products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue that feature Crumb Cake.
Crumb Cake is one of my go-to neutrals and also one of my most used colours in the entire Stampin’ Up! range. I love that it works with all colours and is the perfect non-colour to use when you need to tone down very busy or bright papers.
My card:
My card, which is an addition in my quest to grow my stash of Father’s Day cards before the market next weekend, also features the Lighthouse Point bundle. You can see last week’s card here.
The card features a very simple greeting on the outside, which is from the SAB set Amazing Phrasing. I love everything about this stamp set – the fonts, the greetings themselves, the flexibility to create your own sentiments, the size……
The card is a simple easel fold. The lighthouse diecut is perfect for this sort of card. The greeting on the inside is from a retired set but I couldn’t resist using it because it really suited the whimsical feel I was striving to achieve. You could add any current greeting – birthday, retirement, get well soon, etc would all work well. You could also couple it with any number of sentiments from the Amazing Phrasing stamp set as well. I like the idea of HEY……good lookin’.
The fabulous designer series paper is from the Host set Design A Daydream.

Michele, that lighthouse is perfect with this style of easel card. That patterned paper is perfect with the bird design and the sentiment looks great in the darker ink!

LOL, I was just wondering this week about how to use that bird paper – this is perfect! It’s a fantastic card, the lighthouse makes a great feature.
This is such a “clean” card Michele, and I love it to bits! Helps that I adore lighthouses, but I just really love the way you have approached this one, with the super clean lines of the die-cuts and DSP.
