Embossing Folder Love

I just love to use embossing folders to add that little something special to my cards. I must admit that I am late to the embossing folder party. I have a box full of them but hardly ever used them until I discovered just how lovely the Stamping’ Up! line of embossing folders is. What can I say? They are all just beautiful. When I think a card just doesn’t look quite finished or needs something extra to lift it, I find myself grabbing for an embossing folder. My favourites at the moment are definitely the Subtle, Pinewood Planks, Tufted and Woodland (all of these can be found in the Annual Catalogue), and the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (try saying that 5 times really fast), which is highlighted on page 43 of the new 2018 Holiday Catalogue.

For the card featured above I used the Subtle embossing folder to add texture to the Whisper White cardstock front panel and the Pinewood Planks embossing folder on the Crumb Cake frame. I then added some flowers that I stamped and then die cut using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the coordinating dies from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. The greenery was die cut using the Foliage Frame Framelits and the greeting is from the Stitched All Around stamp set. Of course I used quite a few Stampin’ Dimensionals before finishing with some pearls. Pretty happy with the result. If you would like to recreate this simple but sweet birthday card you can follow the links to my store where you can purchase the products I used. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I would be only too happy to help.

What a beautiful card. Love the embossing folders you’ve used on this one. The pearls just make it don’t they.
