Hands up if you are glad to see the back of Winter!!! I certainly am not a winter person but that said, I think that one day I just might like to experience a White Christmas. And speaking of Christmas, it is time for Week 3 of the Heart of Christmas 2019 Blog Hop. The cards designed and created by the team so far have not only been beautiful but oh so varied. We have obviously all been drawn to different products within the new 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue which went live today!!! Yay!
Although I still have more cards to share made with the Peaceful Boughs Bundle, this week I thought that I would showcase something different. The Bells Are Ringing Bundle is, in my opinion, another must have. With the bundles, etc I purchase these days I like to ensure that they are versatile. I have way too many stamp sets sitting idle in my craft room. I even hate to admit that many of them have only been used once (and yes my husband reads my blog). So when I see a bundle like Bells Are Ringing I not only see beautiful Christmas cards. I also see that the images and dies could be used to make stunning wedding cards as well. Winner!
Night of Navy, Real Red, Sahara Sand and Whisper White are some of my all time favourite colours to use at Christmas. For card one I used a piece of the Wrapped in Plaid DSP as my inspiration adding a little Shaded Spruce to Night of Navy, Sahara Sands and Whisper White. I added some baker’s twine from the Come Sail Away Suite (page 145 Annual Catalogue), some ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Suite (page 37 Annual Catalogue) and some Night of Navy gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels collection. Don’t you just love the way all the products coordinate so well. I am still loving Itty Bitty Christmas for my sentiments which I added to a Stitched Rectangle die. I sprayed the bell with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to give it a sparkly shine and a little embossing using the Tufted embossing folder adds a bit of texture.
My second card is simple but I think effective. This time I used Real Red, Sahara Sand and Whisper White for my colour scheme. I partially die cut the large bell from a piece of Sahara Sand before embossing it with the Subtle embossing folder. This was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals before being adhered to the front of the Sahara Sand card base. A small strip of Real Red Glimmer Paper was tucked under one side of the panel and a strip of Whisper White the other. I die cut the largest of the filigree bells from a scrap of red foil that I had in my stash but the Real Red Glimmer Paper would work just as well. I again used the Magnolia Lane Ribbon as it matches Sahara Sand so well. The sentiment is from (you guessed it) Itty Bitty Christmas and it was stamped onto one of the small Stitched Labels.
This week the blog is being hosted by Judy May. Please follow this link back to Judy’s blog to see the beautiful cards made by the other members of the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team.

Lovely cards Michelle, I love that you have kept them quite simple but very elegant.
Thanks Christina.
Dare I say “Michelle, my bell…your lovely cards just go together well, Michelle, my bell!!!!” But seriously you’ve made me want this bundle soooo much now, you naughty girl!!!!
Oh you made me laugh Cathy. When I was in school I was called ‘Michele, my bell’ all the time. I haven’t been called that in years. It brought back some very old memories.
These are amazing! I’m struggling to choose which one I like best though. I love the tufted folder with the left one. It’s perfect with the plaid DSP. The simplicity of the right one, and simple colour combo is gorgeous too.
Thanks Claire. The Tufted folder is certainly one of my favourites. I particularly like it for baby cards but like you thought it matched the DSP so well.
Wow, your cards are both beautiful, but I especially love the second card, and the way the bell is set into the top layer. Gorgeous!
Thanks Tina. I too like the second one and it was just so easy.
Michele, your cards are absolutely lovely. I love the design of both, but especially your second card – they’re very stylish.
Thanks Caroline. Funny how such a simple card can catch people’s eyes.
Great cards Michelle, I really love how you cut out the bell on the red card and I love that Magnolia Lane ribbon too!
Thanks Sharon. The Magnolia Lane ribbon is beautiful and goes with so much. I find I am grabbing it for most projects.
These cards are just beautiful Michele, thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks Diane.
