Heart of Christmas Blog Hop – Week 4

Welcome back to Week 4 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop. The weeks certainly are flying by……it will be Christmas before we know it. Hopefully our blog hop will inspire you to start your Christmas creating early. And with the gorgeous 2019 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue now online it is just so easy to be able to purchase all your Christmas stamping/crafting needs.

Both of my cards this week were created using the Tidings All Around Bundle. This bundle is not only beautiful, it is super versatile and it is just so easy to put together a lovely card using the various elements. For Card One I used the stamp and rotate method to stamp the background wreath using Sahara Sand (branch element) and Real Red (dots) onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I die cut the second wreath from Real Red cardstock and adhered it onto the panel over the stamped wreath. I also added a simple sentiment, some gold foil branches and a circle of gold thread. The completed panel was firstly adhered to a gold foil matt and secondly a matt of Sahara Sand which had been embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder before being adhered to the square card base of Real Red cardstock.

For Card Two I again used the Gold Foil, Real Red, Sahara Sand and Whisper White colour scheme. The die cut wreath was adhered to an embossed panel (Subtle embossing folder) of Real Red before the stamped and die cut wreath was attached using Stampin’ dimensionals. I slightly offset it and trimmed off a small amount in line with the edge of the panel. Several gold foil branches and some gold thread were ‘caught between’ the two wreaths and a sentiment then adhered over the top of the embellishment grouping.

For the greeting on both cards I used the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. I LOVE this set and the others in the Itty Bitty series. I particularly love the way that they work with the different labels in the Stampin’ Up! range of products. I used the smallest die from Stitched Rectangles (#148551) but they also work beautifully with Stitched Shapes (#145372), Stitched Labels (#146828) and Ornate Frames (#150664) to name just a few of my favourites.

There are many more wonderful cards for you to see, so pop back to Claire’s blog to find the links to all the other team members contributing this week.
