Heart of Christmas – Week 17 2023

Welcome to the final Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2023. Hard to believe that Christmas is now less than a month away. Are you ready? To be honest I haven’t really given it much thought but, no use panicking as it will all be ok on the day and if it’s not……gave up worrying years ok. Funny, my favourite day is Boxing Day as it means cricket, left overs and feet up.

The Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team has enjoyed bringing you our blog hop each Monday and I hope that we have done a good job in showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! has to offer. I also hope that in some small way we have helped you prepare for this year’s festive season.

my cards:

As this is my last post for this year I couldn’t decide just which cards to showcase, so why not showcase them all?

group 1:

I have really enjoyed creating a range of different cards this year. Cards that didn’t use the traditional Christmas palette. Here are some that I recently created using a design that I saw on the Paper Pixie’s YouTube channel.

These box cards make for the perfect festive display and are ever so easy to make.

There is plenty of room on the back for your message.

The Merry Bold & Bright suite became a favourite of mine this year and was perfect for this design.

Group 2:

My other favourite product this year was the Tiny Christmas Trees die. It was not originally on my wishlist but I certainly got good use out of it once it jumped into my cart.

One card features the Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green foil and the other, the Silver and Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer paper.

The adhesive backing certainly made creating this card a breeze.

Just as an aside, the Tiny Christmas Trees die is listed on the Last Chance sale at a 30% discount and when I checked today, was still available.

Group 3:

For my dear mum I did create a few traditional Christmas cards. I loved that you could use both the positive and negative pieces from the Noel die to create cards.

I also challenged myself to practise my colouring skills and while not perfect, I am improving.

And because practice makes perfect, I thought I would finish with a non-traditional version of my hand coloured card.

It’s now time to hop on over to our next participant, the lovely and talented Rachel Woollard. I can’t wait to see what she’s made this week!

If at any time you find a broken link, please head back to the blog of Sharon Davern who is the host of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. There you will find the list of all who are participating this week.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by tonight and ever other night this year.

Oh wow, what a wonderful array of cards, Michele. I’ve not seen that box card before, but I can see it would come together quickly and those birght papers are perfect for such a fun card. I love what you’ve done with the trees die and inserting different papers into some of the negative spaces. I adore the layout of the products on your ‘pink’ card, looks fantastic and I may need to case that layout. What a way to end the hop with all your favourite products this year!!

Well you have been exceptionally busy! What a shame we don’t have another few weeks of HOC! They are fantastic! I love them all! I love the box card that is fun and you know me and fancy folds! I love the tiny Christmas tree ones they are just so cute those trees and you could change the tree colour endlessly! The Noel card are beautiful and your colouring is lovely. I love colouring. By the way it has been my tradition for as long as I can remember to do a jigsaw puzzle on Boxing Day and watch the cricket. I am always gifted a new jigsaw every Christmas. Thank you for all your lovely cards this year in The Heart of Christmas.

Fabulous collection of cards Michele. The box cards are really unique and I agree they’ll make great Christmas decorations. I love the tiny Christmas tree cards with the multi coloured trees. And beautiful colouring on the last cards

Oh my goodness, what a smorgasbord of beautiful cards, Michele! The box cards are delightful, and such fun decorated with the bright cheery elements and colours you’ve used. I LOVE the cards made with all the tiny trees (I think the silver and gold are my favourite, but both designs are so beautiful). My hands-down favourite card in these groups is the traditional design in non-traditional colours. I don’t normally love pink on Christmas cards, but my eye keeps getting drawn to this card, with the soft tones and woodgrain paper. Thank you for sharing them all!
