Sneak peek alert!!!
Week 5 of the Blog Hop and I have more cards to share that use new products from the upcoming……
Not long to wait now, ONLY one more sleep!!! Order you favourite products from the new catalogue tomorrow.
my cards:
Both of my cards feature the gorgeous new Whimsy & Wonder suite of products.
The colour palette for this specialty designer series paper is stunning and quite different for Christmas. It also features some lovely iridescent shine. A must have!!!
card no.1:
To create my focal tree I diecut it twice from Mint Macaron cardstock and then glued one on top of the other to create some dimension. I also diecut it from one of the B-sides of the DSP. After adhering my Mint Macaron tree to a stitched rectangle I paper pieced the negative pieces of the patterned paper tree into the spaces. These were then painted over with my Wink of Stella brush for a bit of sparkle and shine.
The smaller trees were stamped and diecut using the coordinating dies, before being attached to the card front. The greeting is also from the Whimsical Trees bundle. Isn’t this paper just gorgeous? It is almost too lovely to cover up.
card no.2:
My second card uses the tree I diecut from designer series paper and the negative pieces from one of the Mint Macaron trees, used on card one.
This Misty Moonlight designer series paper is one of my favourites and the iridescent diagonal stripes are the perfect matt. And how cute are those ‘lollipop’ trees? The greeting on this card is from the Christmas to Remember bundle and is my favourite from the entire catalogue. I have used it very often……already!!! A splash of Wink of Stella and some rhinestones and my card was complete.
Available TOMORROW!!!

- Whimsy & Wonder DSP | #156329

Two beautiful cards to add to your Christmas stash.
I love this paper too! I love the Christmas tree dies you have used on this card!
I love both of your cards Michele but my favourite is the one featuring the Misty Moonlight DSP.
Two fabulous cards Michele. I bought the DSP but not the Whimsical Tree Bundle because it really didn’t appeal to me, but now after seeing your cards I think they have changed my mind!
So pretty, Michele. I love this suite and although you haven’t used the pinks, I love Misty Moonlight and Mint Macaron together. Love the inlay technique too!
Oh Michele, two gorgeous cards. I so love them. You have used the delightful Whimsy & Wonder suite beautifully. I love your use of the “negative” pieces from Card 1 on Card 2 – brilliant. xxx
Lovely cards. I really like how you have created extra dimension, and also using up the die cuts from the big tree. That second card is such a gorgeous non traditional colour combo too.
Love both your cards Michele and the DSP layers with iridescent bits. Especially love how you have used leftover bits of the tree from card 1 in card 2. Both beautiful sentiments too.
Your cards are so beautiful. I’d skipped over this suite, but I think I need to take a closer look.
Gorgeous cards Michele, I love how you’ve used the patterned paper as the backgrounds, great idea.
Beautiful cards, Michele … you’ve done an awesome job of showcasing those gorgeous papers. I am rather partial to your second card; that Misty Moonlight paper is divine.
Michelle, both these cards are beautiful but as Misty Moonlight is a fave colour of mine I must admit your first card is especially stunning!
