Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2021 – Week 3

Welcome to the 2021 edition of Heart of Christmas brought to you by the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. This year, we will be showcasing all the fabulous seasonal supplies that Stampin’ Up! have on offer, on a weekly basis and in the form of a Blog Hop.

Sneak Peek Alert!

Week 3 of the Blog Hop and I have some cards to share that use new products from the upcoming……

This new mini catalogue is full to the brim with lovely seasonal card making and crafting supplies. There is a stamp set, bundle or DSP to suit every crafter’s taste from the very traditional to modern. There are also surprising pops of colour, must have die sets and lots of those little embellishments that add the perfect finishing touch.

It’s been a while!!! So I thought it was time to bring back Stamping In The Round (SITR) and create a set of cards that feature wreath designs. The Christmas Season bundle and coordinating DSP really stood out to me as the perfect set for this technique. When creating cards, I also love to ‘reproduce’ the DSP in my design.

card no.1:

The greeting is from the other stamp set in the Painted Christmas suite – Christmas to Remember, which features nine lovely Christmas sentiments that work back perfectly with the label dies from the Christmas Season bundle. Truthfully though, I would have bought the bundle for this little label greeting alone! 🙂 The little brushed metal dots are fantastic. Don’t overlook them in the catalogue!!!

card no.2:

Evening Evergreen, which is one of five new In Colors for 2021-2023, is a perfect shade of green for Christmas cards.

This card also features the brushed metallic dots and a returning favourite – brushed metallic cardstock. They work brilliantly together. Here I have used the copper coloured versions. The lovely greeting is another from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.

card no.3:

I love the pop of Real Red with the Early Espresso and I did ink the edges of the DSP with Sahara Sand. The Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are a must have at Christmas time. They are tucked away on page 142 of the Annual Catalogue and are great value at $12.25 for 220 jewels.

I used the larger pinecone in the set to decorate the inside panel and the envelope. This cheery little greeting is from another new stamp set titled Frosted Gingerbread. It is part of the gorgeous Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite that includes a pillow box die, Memories & More cards and envelopes, decorative masks, ribbon, acrylic shapes and very cute DSP. Another one, not to be missed.

You will be able to purchase the following items from 3 August:

  1. Christmas Season bundle | #156801
  2. Christmas to Remember bundle | #156806
  3. Painted Christmas DSP | #156312
  4. Frosted Gingerbread | #156314
  5. Brushed Metallic cardstock | #153524
  6. Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots | #156506
