It’s Week 12 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop

November!!!!! Another year is very quickly drawing to a close and that means Christmas time is nearly upon us.

It is Week 12 of the Heart of Christmas 2019 Blog Hop and this week I am using the Winter Woods stamp set. This gorgeous stamp set can be found on page 71 of the 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue. I used it to make quite a few cards last year and was prompted to dig it out again when the stamp set was one of those offered at 15% discount during the 24 hour sale on 23 October.

Last week my husband and I spent five days in the high country of North East Victoria. We visit 3 or 4 times a year as my husband is a very keen fly fisherman. I had packed a few things so that I could craft and card make while Stephen fished. Fortunately, I had thrown Winter Woods in at the last minute. One morning I was looking out the window and the beautiful birch tree in the front lawn inspired the background of my card.

The design for the card was CASEd from a card I found on Pinterest that was created by Mary Hanson of Up North Stampin’. Don’t you just love Pinterest when your creative mojo has dried up?

It was sad to read that Stampin’ Up! has decided to discontinue the range of Delicata Inks. I understand the reasoning behind the decision. Nothing hurts your business more that supply issues. However, that said, I am glad that I purchased these metallic ink pads and refills as I love the image that they stamp. No need to be messing around with embossing powder and heat guns. If you haven’t already purchased these I would suggest that you seriously think about doing so before they are GONE!

Of course, I couldn’t make a Christmas card with using something from the Peaceful Boughs bundle. As you can see I managed to sneak in a pinecone. 🙂
